Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is the top-notch chipset to date. It is expected to debut on many high-end smartphones in 2015 on CES and MWC. It will offer an octa-core 64-bit processor, new Adreno 430 GPU and brand new Qualcomm modem.

We head that the LTE will support Cat 6 which speeds 300 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink. The LTE race has been significantly forward since. And we also knew that Samsung is already rumored to utilize an LTE Cat 10-enabled Exynos chipset for the Galaxy S6. LTE Cat 9 can support to get 450 Mbps download and up to 50 Mbps upload. The alleged Exynos 6 Samsung chipset with Cat 10 will stay the same with downlink, but the uplink is doubled at up to 100 Mbps.

Category 9 Carrier Aggregation allows EE to aggregate 20MHz of 1800MHz spectrum with another 20MHz of 2.6GHz, and a third carrier of 15MHz of 2.6GHz.

“Transitioning from Category 6 to Category 9 LTE-A connectivity will mean 1.5x faster peak download speeds, swift application response times, reliable connectivity and connections to the fastest networks.” said Enrico Salvatori, senior vice president and president of Qualcomm Europe.

With the supporting of Huawei and the EE network, this test is carrying out in the UK. It means that EE will be one of the first corp to upgrade its network with the modernist LTE tech.

Qualcomm said surely it will be adding LTE Cat 9 capable modem for the Snapdragon 810 chipset. And it will apparently used in most of Qualcomm flagships in 2015.

There are more and more LTE smartphone comes officially to the market, not only China. Currently, ZTE debut the global market, US in detail, with their speed flagship for Boost Mobile. And more interestingly, its phone will come without contract and will be cost at $99.99 (PHP 4400).

The ZTE Speed is one of the few sub-5K devices we’ve seen from a not-exclusive Chinese smartphone makers. But, there’s definitely no news about its phone’s appearance in Philippines. We will let you know more when we got it.

2014 is a quite good year for Oppo, they shipped 25-30 million units in this year. But, China-bases flagship vendor is expected to doubly ship up to 50 million units in the next year.

According to sources at the handset supply chain in Taiwan and China, in 2015, they expected to ship mostly products – 35 million units, in the local market, and the remaining 15 million units will be shipped internationally.

Qualcomm processor was chosen to use in its top of the line models of Oppo. While they utilize Mediatek processor for the others range, means entry-level an mid-range level. For the past weeks ago, we heard some news about Huawei Ascend P8 which is reavealed some specs. It said that the next flagship will follow traditionally for an impressively thin design with a metal chassic around. Addtionally, its phone will probably come with a 5.2″ 1080p display as well as runs on the HiSilicon Kirin 930 chipset. More detail, this chipset will be built on TSMC’s 16nm process and be packed an octa-core processor.

OnePlus was recently abandoned selling OnePlus One in India. Micromax have an exclusivity deal with Cyanogen. And according to them, Micromax was given an exclusive licence to create and distribute Cyanogen’s technology as a part of its devices in India. Micromax has an exclusive licence for South Asia while OnePlus has a non-exclusive licence for the other countries, not China. So, Micromax has filed for an injunction against OnePlus for use of Cyanogen branding and software on the OnePlus One. Therefore, the High Delhi Court, on Dec,17th have just only allowed OnePlus One to sell the remaining stock they had through its online partner Amazon.

But now, the Court seemly revered it. Judges Pradeep Nandrajog and RK Gauba said in their court order that they have set aside the appeal that banned OnePlus from selling phones in India, and that the case will be heard and decided afresh by a single judge on January 7. Until then OnePlus can continue to sell phones in India.

“In view of the facts noted by us hereinabove, it would not be a case to grant an ad-interim injunction, for the reason we were informed that mobile devices launched in India by Micromax are sold at around Rs 8,000 per piece and that by OnePlus at around Rs 22,000 per piece. The consumer of one product is mid-segment and of the other is high-end and thus prima-facie neither competes nor eats into territory of other.”

More than that, OnePlus said that they are using the Cyanogen 11s variant of the OS, while Micromax is using and has only rights to the Cyanogen 11 variant on its Yu devices.

It seems that OnePlus is having much advantages for its case. Additionally, the court also requested Cyanogen to file a written document along with OnePlus. This document will be the clear proof in court on Jan, 7th.

In early this month, we heard about the new Xiaomi Mi5– 5.7″ along with Snapdragon 810 will be expected to launch in January at the CES 2015. And fortunately, we got the newest leaked images from a purported Xiaomi Mi5.

Weibo recently have just leaked photo of a phone which has quite similarity with the current Xiaomi Mi4. Having a quick look at the photo, you can learn that there is famous MI logo and MIUI V6 running. But searching more carefully, you can easily realize some main differences with this purported Xiaomi Mi5.

As you have already known, the Xiaomi Mi4 features a 5″ screen while this phone is much larger. The mentioned phone in this pic seems supported a 5.5″-5.7″ screen. Although the general design, meaning overall look, stays the same, but this phone owns smoothly slim bezels. Sounds great if it will be come true.

Along with this awesome screen-body ratio, its phone will sport Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM and a 2K 5.7″ display.

It seems that Samsung is going to shut down its flagship ‘Experience Store’ in London, was located in Westfield Stratford shopping center. Blackberry, which have just revealed Blackberry Classic, and now, there are some images and specs of their upcoming phone, codenamed: Rio Z20. This mid-range smartphone is expected to debut the market in February 2015 in black or white color scheme. And its phone is expected to be priced at $300 (PHP 13410).

Blackberry Z20 features 5” 720p touchscreen as well as 9.5mm thick body. Moreover, its phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 clocked at 1.5GHz dual-core Krait CPU and 2GB of RAM. It also reports 8MP main camera, 2MP front-facing shooter, and 2,800mAh non-removable battery.

Yesterday, we have just heard about some leaks of a new Huawei phablet, the Ascend GX1 which is certified by TENAA. And today, everything is clear than ever cuz a Chinese company introduced it for its local market. Its price is about $255 (PHP 11386), and we expect Huawei will debut soon it in other markets in the near future.

The Ascend GX1 features  a 6-inch 720p IPS display. It’s powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset clocked 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU. Moreover, there’s 8 GB of expandable storage space on board, plus 1 GB of RAM. The new smartphone measures 161 x 84.5 x 9.2 mm, weighs 173 grams, and arrives with a pretty large 3500 mAh battery. Its phone arrives with an 8 MP main camera with LED flash, and a 2 MP front-facing shooter.

In the last of 2014, we got a lot of rumour news about some upcoming smartphones. And Meizu takes many headlines of them. Recently, we heard about a young-targeted phone, called “The Blue Charm” with 2 variants “Blue Charm Note” and “Blue Charm” or “Meizu K52″. And finally, we has turned a new page in its with the official announcement of the m1 Note. The phone is the first member of the Blue Charm line-up or at least it can be translated from ” Meilan” in Chinese.

In mid of last month, we heard much about HTC’s upcoming flagship, named: HTC Hima. A lot of news about this new device and though it’s just rumour. But now, it looks like that we have a full specs sheet leak for this new phone.

As previous leaks, its phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 810Soc as well as 2.0GHz quad-core Cortex-A57 + 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex-A53.But fortunately, the leaked specs states that it will be of the FHD instead of QHD which appears in some current handsets.
