Meizu has big ambition to hit consumer markets in both China and Europe in Q1 2015. Meizu last week, showed the world its new flagship the Meizu X4 Pro, not only displayed a phone with wonderful hardware, but also showed off a more affordable price than initially expected. This was definitely a push to Meizu’s competitors, had to cut prices on their phones.

We might have an strong surprising after getting the launch price of MX4 pro in China. A retail price of $407(PHP18298) for 32GB internal memory, 20.7 MP main camera, 3 GB internal RAM,  is an super impressive price.

ZTE’s Nubia company have announced that they have reduced the price of their Nubia X6 to just $ 407(PHP18298) in order to take some advantages compared to the latest Meizu phone – MX4 Pro. The price is not bad,  since the Nubia X6 is far superior to many phablets of market.

The X6 reports larger display measuring a whopping 6.4″ (MX4 Pro – 5.36″), and specs are very different too, but both are obvious great flagships at attractive cost.

iPhone will stop producing the lower-price iPhone 5C, said Taiwan’s Industrial and Commercial Times.

Last year, Apple launched the plastics iPhone5C as an alternative for iPhone5S to gear to the budget users. This device is available in five different colors, at the price in the beginning of $99 (PHP 4451)

Although according to Apple Insider this past March the 5C was sold out much of the competition during the final quarter of 2013, including several popular phones running Android, Google’s mobile operating system. During Apple’s June quarter, the 5C seemed to show an improvement in sales, said Apple Insider. But it becomes more ineffectively after that.

The company did not quote any clear reason for withdraw of the model, but remarkable decrease in sales column seems like a reasonable understanding. And seemingly the subsidized price of the 5C at $549 (PHP 24683) in the full retail cost still out of reaching for potential buyers in some developing markets. Apple CEO Tim Cook has acknowledged, the 5C was never geared to be a cheap phone.

In September, the company launched the 4.7-inch iPhone6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone6Plus and still sells the 4.0-inch iPhone5S at a starting price of $99 (PHP 4451). So, clearly, lack of some important features, the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the speedier A7 processor found on the 5S, combined with a plastic case, it makes us more understand about Apple’s dicision.

Though Apple reports the total number of iPhone sales each quarter, the company doesn’t reveal those sales per device. So it’s difficult to know exactly how well or how poorly the 5C has fared in the market. But with the new iPhone 6 models seeing huge demand and the 5S still a viable product at user-friendly prices, it’s only a matter of time before the 5C faces retirement.

After selling to Microsoft, Nokia lovers seemed to go to hopelessness about the existence of Nokia. Available next year in China (at first) the N1 will be available in Natural Aluminum and will launch in selected markets thereafter. There’s no double that this is an interesting device from Nokia. To us, the N1 does look significantly like an iPad Mini running Android and in general this raises a few questions. What will happen to the N1 when the Nokia branding is sold to Microsoft? Will it launch in markets where Nokia and Microsoft are selling Windows tablets and devices? Hopefully, this is one Nokia device that we’ll all be able to enjoy, as it looks like that Android device we were all hoping for from Nokia has finally come true.

The market share of Samsung is decreasing slightly recently, especially in the third quarter, in mobile phones and high-end TVs.

According to the official of Korea media citing Samsung, this tech giant is deciding how best to scale down share market of unprofitable businesses and ChatOn is not stayed out.

Actually, people who has ever tried a Samsung Galaxy device will be aware of pre-installing of the ChatOn on every device any more.

Honestly someone may still choose ChatOn like a good tool to keep in touch with people and makes many good feedbacks. However, Samsung still want to decrease its mobile messaging business erased in some ineffective markets. According to Samsung manager, there are not enough users on the service to justify maintainging it, and will begin to erase the app out on future releases.

Currently, the app is being used in more than 120 countries in 63 different languages. ChatOn is available both on Google Android, Apple’s iOS and BlackBerry operating systems.

“When you talk about total numbers, ChatOn looks competitive as ChatOn is installed in all Samsung Smartphones. The key issue is that usability of the application is low and that means the volume of transaction isn’t that much,” said the Samsung official.

Due to huge competition from other manufactures, like Viber, Snapchat and Whatsapp, its messaging service seems to be removed.

There are more attractive messaging apps now in the market, and of course, ineffective app have to eleminate.  It makes sense for Samsung to drop ChatOn at this stage.

In reply to a couple of recent rumors on Huawei’s Smartphone, the Huawei Honor 6 is planned to be launched in the Philippines in December just in time for the Christmas season with an high expectation in sales.

Some leaks, from reliable sources, have revealed that the Huawei Honor 6 will appear in the Philippine market in two versions. The first one is a dual-SIM, dual LTE with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage built-in. And another is single-SIM version with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage built-in.

Although 2 versions are seemed to be good choice, up to the users’ demand. And the expected price is at about Php13,990 or Php14,990 for the single-SIM 2GB/16GB variant. However, there might be a chance that the dual-LTE, 3GB/32GB variant (which reminds us to the Mate 7) will be released instead due to better positioning and demand.

In addition, based on Antutu benchmark, Huawei’s own Kirin 920 chipset is a powerful one which looks like to be serious competitor with either the Snapdragon 800 or Snapdragon 801 chip (near 42,000 Antutu benchmark on the first test).

After a huge success in launching the Xiaomi Mi 3 and the Redmi 1 S, Xiaomi goes on releasing the first phablet – Xiaomi Redmi Note. The Redmi Note is expected to be a sellout like its siblings.

Although a consequently high demands, but keep calm, cuz this phone was sold in India on Nov 24 with an extremely reasonable price tag.

With the ambition to foray into the Indian market, it’s necessary to offer an acceptable price in the first time, right? Xiaomi had declared a 9,999 INR pricing (₱ 7199) for the Redmi Note. However, it seems that the mobile be priced lower than that.

Xiaomi is doing a great job as a company, their results are staggering this year. The company will sell over 60 million devices by the end of 2014, considering they moved “only” 19 million in 2013, those are great results. This Chinese company actually attends to raise that number to 100 million devices in 2015, it will be interesting to see if they’re capable of doing that.

Xiaomi is currently number one Original Equipment Manufacturer (EOM) in China and third worldwide and they plan to extent their market to more lands, Latin America, India, South-East China and Russia, for examples soon. If the company succeed in doing this without any serious diffciculties, they could seriously beat out Samsung’s and Apple’s number 1 and 2 position in the market today.

Xiaomi’s next cheap tablet the Xiaomi MiPad One (around USD 100) is nearly release for sure. According to the listing the tablet is not just supporting TD-LTE, but also LTE FDD, the LTE standard that is currently used outside of China. This device was predicted to complete the already launched Mi Pad 7.9.

This mobile first revealed according to benchmark listing at the end of October. Xiaomi’s device codenamed 2,014,811 has received a meticulous checking of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) to go on sale in China.

This appearance might give us a look at some of its most special specs. The newest Generation of Smartphones with Ultra HD Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 and 4GB RAM has apparently already begun testing and now is available to order.

Was offered by the Canadian corporation Intrinsyc, this spec beast is expectedly to be a high level spec. It will be a good condition for Smartphone manufacturer and Android Developers to create more high end products in the next time.

The Smartphone platform consists of a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with octa-core CPU, Adreno 430 CPU, and Qualcomm Hexagon V56 DSP. The list includes 4GB of LP-DDR4 RAM, 32GB of internal memory, microSD card slot, and 6.2” screen with a 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution.

The handset contains a 13MP roar camera, running with 4K video capture and a front camera of 4MP with 1080p video recording. There are eight internal microphones. Besides that, it reports an extremely rich sensor and connectivity suite packs fingerprint sensor, temperature and humidity sensor.

The battery of the device is 3,020mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.  The phone is running on Android L.

The next spec, the tablet platform display is a 10.1” 4K unit (3840 x 2160) pixel, while memory built-in at 64GB.

OnePlus, the Chinese tech startup that created the super hard – to – find Oneplus One, is already planning to launch a new phone next year.

OnePlus released its One Smartphone in April. It’s easy to understand why One Plus became to be one of the most highly hottest Smartphone of 2014 by both reviewers and customers cuz of two main reasons: it’s super cheap and extremely hard to find.
