Nokia 6.2 goes official

HMD Global is going to hold a launch event in India on June 6 to release a new smartphone in the country. On the same day, HMD Global is also holding a global launch event in Italy. The company has not confirmed the name of the smartphone. However, rumor suggests the Nokia X71 may make its global debut as the Nokia 6.2. The Nokia X71 was launched in Taiwan and China in April this year as the company’s first smartphone featuring a punch-hole display.

Since the Finnish smartphone maker is holding a launch event in India as well on June 6, it is possible that the Nokia 6.2 will debut in the country at the event, instead of the Nokia 9 PureView. As for the Nokia 6.2 specs, this phone gets almost features of the Nokia X71. Under the hood, as for the display, this phone presents a 6.39-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 2316 pixels. Also, for the processor, the new Nokia phone runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie.

Furthermore, Nokia 6.2 works on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM which is expandable up to 256GB. Regarding the camera system, the Nokia X71 camera rocks a triple 48MP (f/1.8) + 8MP + 5MP (f/2.4) rear lens and a 16MP selfie shooter. As for the battery, the smartphone equips a 3500mAh battery box with the 18W fast charger included in the box. Meanwhile, you can find a traditional fingerprint sensor. Also, the Nokia phone supports a 3.5mm headphone jack.
