Resident Evil 7 confirmed to be a “play anywhere” game!

Resident Evil, without a doubt, is a stellar franchise in the horror genre. With a long history, players are looking forward to the next installment of the series: Resident Evil 7 (also called Biohazard 7). This game has been in development for a while, and is scheduled to launch on January 24, which is only a few days away. From what has been revealed so far about the game, it will be reminiscent of the early games of Resident Evil, with the inventory management system of Resident Evil 4, as well as some monsters, typically known as BOWs (Bio-organic Weapons). Recently, another great news has come for Xbox and Windows users: The game will be a “pay once, play anywhere” type!

Recently, from Xbox team, Phil Spencer has made a tweet, confirming that the game will indeed be for Xbox Play Anywhere category. That means that players will have to pay only one time, and they can play interchangeably between PC and Xbox. Xbox Play Anywhere has been a real convenience for gamers who own Xbox, since they don’t have to pay twice to play on different devices. It was a very good move from Microsoft.

Actually, there have been reports since last year about the cross-save function of this game already, but it is nice to have confirmation. Now you only need to pay for Resident Evil 7 on either Windows PC or Xbox One, and you will be able to play on both devices. However, there is a catch: if you buy the game digitally on Windows, it has to be via the Windows 10 Store, not through Steam, to have access to the game on both devices. That applies for save files, DLCs, game scores, and Achievements. All will be accessible via Xbox Live.

Resident Evil 7: The new chapter starts soon!

Within a few days, a new chapter of the Resident Evil franchise will begin. Hopefully this will be successful. Are you looking forward to the game?
