People are getting very excited for the Nokia comeback next year, especially when it was confirmed. Recently, it has been reported that for the new Nokia Android phone will be a close collaboration between Nokia and Google!
New Nokia Android phone will be collaborated with Google!
It is no secret now that Nokia will return to the smartphone market. The Finnish company has confirmed its comeback in MWC next year. HMD has been licensed by Nokia to be in charge of the giant’s phone brand. HMD seems very fitting to do this task, having a global presence with 40 offices all over the world. However, HMD will not do this task of bringing glory back to Nokia alone, as it has just been revealed that the company will work closely with Google on the release of this new Nokia Android phone.
HMD Global CEO Arto Nummela has told Reuters that there will be extensive collaboration with Google at least for the first few Nokia smartphones. Not much has been revealed about the involvement, however, we can speculate what advice Google would give to a new Android player, especially one that has been in the market for too long. Nummela has stated that HMD will not rely on goodwill and nostalgia to make customers buy the phone, but what Nokia has always done best: best battery life, extreme durability and user friendliness.
Nummela has talked with Bloomberg, and reinstated that the Nokia brand is known for its “simplicity, ease of use, reliability and quality”. HMD will make innovations where possible, while retaining what were the best features of Nokia phones. We can expect the new Nokia Android phone to have something close to stock or near-stock Android, like what Moto has done. There would be no software junks (as it should be). This would be contrary to the BlackBerry Priv, as the phone has tried to do “too much” and failed, even though it is a very good phone.
New Nokia Android phone: Anticipation building everyday
One of the features people would like to see in the new Nokia Android phone is the camera quality on those Lumia devices. As much as Nokia and Microsoft has completed their deal, this is a feature that HMD will likely incorporate. HMD will only do the designing and marketing, while the production will be left to Foxconn. With the direction to stay true to the Nokia image as much as possible, it is very exciting to see what HMD can do the the brand Nokia. Are you excited for the new Nokia phone?
iPhone is a tough rival to Google Pixel and vice versa. Today, we want to give you some reasons to choose Google Pixel over iPhone. Let’s read on and discover!
4 Reasons why Google Pixel is better than iPhone
First of all, Google Pixel has better display quality than that of iPhone. AMOLED panel is good at delivering bright colors and deep blacks. Meanwhile, for IPS display, it specializes in exhibiting natural colors. Therefore, although IPS screen also delivers nice viewing experience, it is not high contrast and sharp as AMOLED display. And that is what happens to the Pixel with AMOLED panel and iPhone with IPS display. In addition, thanks to the higer pixel density value, the viewing experience of Pixel is also better (441 ppi > 401 ppi).
Secondly, another reason to choose Google Pixel over iPhone lies on the fact that it runs Android OS. Android OS of the Pixel allows more easy way to handle or manage notifications than iOS of iPhone. For example, with just one swipe, Google Pixel users can clear away a notification while iPhone users need to tap after swiping. Moreover, notifications in Android can be expanded to show more details whereas as notifications in iOS show less information. In addition, Android OS of the Pixel will clear away those notifications. On the other hand, iPhone users have to clear notifications manually.
Thirdly, the Pixel has better battery life. The Pixel is fairly good at power saving. In comparison to iPhone, the juice of Pixel does not drain out fast as that of iPhone thanks to Adroid’s Doze feature. The charging process is also faster than iPhone. According to one experiment, the Pixel took about two hours to full charged. On the other hand, with the same amount of time, the iPhone 7 Plus only reached 70%.
Reasons to choose Google Pixel over iPhone
Of course, iPhone of Apple still has significances that make it popular in the market. Yet, nothing is flawless. Here we provide you with four major reasons to choose Google Pixel over iPhone: better display quality, Android OS, better battery life and fast charging process.
