India won’t give in to Apple’s demands anymore!

Apple is still the biggest smartphone brand in the world, that is a fact. However, not everything is going well for the American company. After falling sales in China, Apple’s demands won’t be met in India, another potential big market for the company.

apple's demands

India won’t give in to Apple’s demands anymore!

For the fiscal quarter ended in September, Apple has been reported to have a 30% decline in sale in China, sequentially. However, it is not really surprising, especially for Apple, since the signs were pretty obvious. The company has since tried to sell its products in another market where smartphones are hot business. That country is India, and Apple has tried to infiltrate this potential market already.

The Indian government has also been very warm in welcome to the American brand. The government has given Apple and other tech companies some concessions last year. There is a regulation that requires foreign tech company to source 30% of products in a single local brand store, such as an Indian Apple Store. However, the Indian government will not grant that privilege to Apple any longer, since they said it would look like they are bending to Apple’s demands. Apple has been reported to have written to the Industry Ministry asking for lower import and excise duties, but that is not likely to happen.

apple's demands

Apple currently has 2% share in India. Although this is the fastest growing market for smart devices, the income of people are still very little ($3.10 a day). 70% smartphones sold in 2015 in India were below $150. With the price tag of a usual Apple product, it is no wonder that their best sold product here is iPhone 5s, which is priced at $300. To increase revenue and attract more users, Apple needs to open more stores in the country. That means it needs to have more concessions from the government, which seems unlikely for now.

Apple’s demands: Are they too much?

In light of this, Apple is facing a very tough time ahead, where two of its most potential markets is staggering hard (China and India). It is interesting to see where the company will go from here on out!

Is Apple losing focus?

So many reports recently said that Apple is losing its focus in all aspect, is it because they are losing the competition in the market? read to find out more…

Apple

Should Apple look for a second Jobs?

First, we need to get one critical fact out of the way: Steve Jobs cannot be replaced. He had the credibility of the founder, extraordinary instinct, vision and energy, and he could make things happen by sheer force of will. It’s just not possible for Apple to be the same without him, just keep in mind that it can still succeed if it does right. Tim Cook is not Steeve Job, he is someone different with a different style. Remember, he was handpicked by Steve to be Apple’s next leader, and he certainly knows how to make Apple run efficiently

Despite the company’s success in the early 1980s with the Apple II and Macintosh computers, it still faced some serious money problem, its final quarter of 1996 showed that the sales decreased to 30% from the year before. At that time, the company was selling many and different products like the versions of the Macintosh, but it failed to market and advertise as well in order to keep its users constant to its products.  It seems that that’s what is trying to happen to this famous company again.

Apple

The company was in serious crisis in the 1997’s, but the Steeve Jobs came back and changed everything. Here is something he said to a group of product line “You are bright people, so you shouldn’t be wasting your time on such crappy products.” And reports believe that this might be the main issue that is leading the company about not to pay attention to its product.  Jobs had cut 70% of Apple’s product line and got the company out of side businesses like printers and servers.

Is Apple really losing focus?

Do you think that it’s due to the high level of competition? or maybe it needs to sack Cook and hire someone like Steeve Jobs, drop your comment below.

2017 smartphone market: What’s hot about it?

2016 is coming to a close very soon. It has been an eventful year for the smartphone market, with so much to remember, and also as much to forget. Let’s take a look at what’s to expect from 2017 smartphone market!

2017 smartphone market

What’s hot about 2017 smartphone market?

First, and the most anticipated of all, is the return of Nokia. The company has confirmed its comeback in MWC 2017. Nokia is expected to return with some mid-range smartphones first, and the most information we have so far is the Nokia D1C. This is truly one to look out for. Also, next year people are also looking forward to Samsung’s comeback from Note 7’s failure. The company is hoping to bounce back in the flagship segment with the Galaxy S8, with some irresistible speculated specs. Samsung will also look to push on in the mid-segment with the success of J and A series. There are leaks about a possible Galaxy A7 2017 already.

Thirdly, next year will be a special year for Apple. That’s right, 2017 is the 10-year anniversary of the company’s most successful product, the iPhone. Apple surely would not want to miss such an occasion, and we can expect the company to provide something special. The iPhone 8, or what we speculated so far, is supposed to have many ground-breaking technologies, such as 3D photography, being bezel-less, and under-screen fingerprint sensor. There are also reports of iPhone 7s coming along with 8, in red color.

2017 smartphone market

USB-C is also expected to become the standard for phone ports. Currently, it is already used by flagships of all bands, except Apple (but the Lightning ports works very similarly). One other interesting aspect is the fate of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Since Apple introduced iPhone 7 with no 3.5mm jack, many brands have been reported to follow with upcoming phones. We will see whether it will be a trend or not. Last but not least, 4K display will see if it will take off on smartphones or not. Most flagships nowadays all have 2K display already, but the question is: is 4K really necessary? All will go down in 2017!

2017 smartphone market: So much to look out for!

2017 is promised to be an exciting year for mobile phones again. Hopefully we will see many good phones entering the market, and fewer phone failures.

Apple iPhone 8: dual SIM exclusive in China???

Recently, there is other news leaked in China about the upcoming iPhone which is said to be Apple iPhone 8 or 7s. And today, we’d like to tell you about it.

iPhone-8-Manual-1

Apple iPhone 8 or 7s: new leaked specs

We can say that 2016 is a successful year for Apple. Back to September, Apple released its flagships of the year which are iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The two beasts are well-received by users all over the world. Next year, 2017 will be the tenth years anniversary since the birth of first generation of iPhones. Therefore, it is expected that the upcoming iPhone would include innovative features. In our earlier articles, we already mentioned some leaked information as well as some assumptions for the next iPhone which is said to be Apple iPhone 8 or 7S. Recently, there is other news leaked in China about the upcoming iPhone. And today, we’d like to tell you about it.

So far, Apple has equipped iPhones with IPS panel. In addition, iPhones are single SIM handsets. However, Apple might take a step forward in display department with the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 or 7S. It is high possibility that the phone will pack OLED display. Moreover, the physical home button will be excluded. It is also suggested that the upcoming phone would come with dual SIM slots. Though, the dual SIM slots feature will be available exclusively in Chinese market.

iPhone-81

The news showed up on Weibo. However, it is not the official news. Yet, the news is quite reliable to some extent. Because Apple already filed two domestic patents back in October which are about dual SIM technology. To be specific, the Patent number 2016101166075 is about SIM selection. While the other patent number 2016100813788 is about how much energy will this dual SIM technology consume. The two patents were accepted on February 5th and March 2nd 2016. So users might wonder what’s is new about Apple dual-SIM technology that will make it different from other manufacturers.

Apple iPhone 8 or 7s: its future

If iPhones are dual SIM handsets, then there is only Google smartphones are single SIM left in the market. Let’s follow our page and we will keep updating for you.

iPhone 6s battery problem is bigger than Apple anticipated!

As previously reported, some iPhone 6s devices have been experiencing problems. Apple is thought to have identified the issue, but apparently the iPhone 6s battery problem is bigger than that!

iphone 6s battery

iPhone 6s battery problem is bigger than Apple anticipated!

It looks like the iPhone 6s battery problem is getting bigger than Apple has anticipated. As previously reported, there have been many instances of iPhone 6s devices shutting down unexpectedly, even when the battery was still enough. Apple has declared that only happened to “a very small number” of devices, and have let customers know that their voices have been heard. However, that’s only true if you are Chinese: Apple only put the statement regarding this problem on their Chinese website!

In the Chinese statement, Apple has rehashed that the company is the best in the world in customer service, and customers don’t have to worry. However, there are reports of iPhone 6s battery problem all over the world, not just in China. Why the company has not given a statement at least in the US website, no one knows. However, they promised that an update is coming soon, that would help fix the problem.

iphone 6s battery

It is really good that a software patch is being rolled out, if that fixes the problem at all. Not having to go down to an Apple store to exchange is certainly more convenient. Instead, you can just get the latest software update, and the problem may be fixed. However, while the issue is happening worldwide, releasing statements only in Chinese will not help at all. It makes people think there may be bigger problems behind the scene, or whether this has gotten out of Apple’s hand!

iPhone 6s battery problem: Need to wait more

For now, we still need to wait for Apple’s official statement in other areas of the world. Hopefully, as the software patch rolls out, Apple will say something to reassure customers.

8 iPhones exploded in China: external damage?

In this period of time, iPhone 6 from Apple continuously is reported to have the battery problems. Recently, 8 iPhones exploded in China in a few weeks.

iphone_6s_4k_video_thumb8001

8 iPhone exploded in China for a few weeks

Recently, there have been many issues involved to iPhone from Apple, Apple iPhone 6 to be more specific. Not so long ago, iPhone 6 was said to turn off suddenly even though the capacity was still 50% full. To make up for this problem, the US giant has offered the free battery change for the iPhone 6 having this issue. After that, some users reported that their iPhone 6 battery drained fastly after updating to the new iOS 10.1.1 version.

Now, the Apple iPhone 6 continues to have another issue. A group of consumers in Shanghai (China) has just reported that their iPhone 6 automatically exploded. Until now, there are about 8 iPhone 6 exploding cases. 8 is not a minor number, and of course this number is nothing compared to the number Galaxy Note 7 exploding incidents. However, these iPhone exploding incidents can cause Apple some damages.

iPhones-explosion-3

For the last iPhone 6 battery issue, Apple explained that the iPhone 6 battery issue is because of manufacturing fault. For this exploding problem, the company claimed that the reason for these whole exploding cases is the external physical damage. And it’s totally not a manufacturing fault. Apple suggested their customers go to Apple stores for help or via Apple’s support.

iPhones exploded: not the first time

8 iPhones exploded in just a few weeks. It seems like that the company is dealing with a battery crisis. This is not the first time iPhone exploded. There were many cases before like iPhone 6 in Australia. For this kind of battery issue, Apple said that they will update and develop iOS to improve battery management. Hopefully, in the future, there will be no exploding iPhone incident anymore.

iPhone 6s battery failure explained by Apple!

Recently, there have been reports of iPhone 6s turning off automatically. Apple has identified that the battery is the problem. Now, the company has explained the causes for iPhone 6s battery failure!

iphone 6s battery failure

iPhone 6s battery failure explained by Apple!

Recently, Apple’s iPhone 6s has been back in the spotlight again. However, this time it was not a positive note: quite a few iPhones have been diagnosed as having defective batteries. Because of the iPhone 6s battery failure, these devices would shut down automatically even if the battery life is still left. The devices would then need to be plugged in to use normally. Apple, having been notified of the problem, identified the issue (the batteries), and offered an exchange program. Now, the company has given the explanation as to why these batteries are acting up.

Apple has identified that the problems were with the iPhone 6s devices that were manufactured between September and October 2015. The issue here is that, those devices have a battery component that were exposed to controlled ambient air for longer than normal, before being assembled into the whole battery. This caused the battery to degrade faster, and lead to unexpected shutdowns. However, Apple stressed that this will not cause any safety concerns for customers.

iphone 6s battery failure

Apple further explained that the shutting is not because of the battery, but due to a special mechanics of the iPhone to shut down under certain conditions. In other words, the shutdowns are intentional, to protect your device. The iPhone 6s is working properly, only the battery doesn’t. This is different from the case of Galaxy Note 7, where the battery didn’t work, and but the device did not shut down and ignite instead, causing explosions. Apple stated again that the shutdowns are just minor inconveniences, and that customers can exchange the battery if they are eligible.

iPhone 6s battery failure: Not a big deal!

So, if your iPhone 6s has been shutting down a lot lately, you don’t have to worry, it’s not dangerous. However, you should check if your phone is assembled between September and October 2015. If yes, you are eligible for free battery exchange. Just come down to any Apple retail store to ask.

Apple to work with LG on 3D camera!

Apple has made some bold changes to the latest iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Now, everyone is looking forward the new iPhone coming next year. Apparently, Apple is working on 3D camera for the new iPhone!

3d camera

Apple to work with LG on 3D camera!

Recently, sources from Korea has stated that Apple is working closely with LG on a new dual camera setup that can capture 3D effects on photos, which will be implemented on the new iPhone next year. 2017 will be the 10-year anniversary of the iPhone, so this new feature would be a special addition to the new iPhone. Not much details are revealed, but apparently, the “LG Innotek” camera, with dual-lens, will be available on the new iPhone in the latter half of 2017.

The said reports also mentioned LinX Imaging, the technology company that Apple bought over last year. After the acquisition, Apple has owned LinX’s enhanced camera technology, which allows 3D depth mapping and lighting enhancements. We have seen these features in action before, in the new Portrait Mode of the iPhone 7 Plus camera. These features may be carried over to the new iPhone, with some big enhancements. We still have to wait for more information!

3d camera

For now, it is still unclear whether the new 3D camera technology will be hardware related. We know that Apple does own patents for face and biometric recognition, and the company also has other patents on advanced images analysis technology such as object recognition. However, they are all software based. Apple is also said to have been working on implementing augmented reality functions into the iPhone’s camera app. Most likely it will be for the new iPhone.
