Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera review

Although not a spotlight of the device, Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera is pretty decent when compared to other phones at the same price tag. Today we take a quick look and see what this device’s camera is capable of.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera review 1

Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera: specs and details

First, let’s take a look at Asus Zenfone 3 Max cameras. The phone is mounted with a 16MP f/2.0 camera with dual LED flash on the back, while the front has an 8MP f/2.2 camera. In daylight conditions, Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera (the back one) provides high quality images thanks to its laser auto focus and clear focus technology. The photos look great with vibrant colors, lots of details and high accuracy. However, there are noise and loss of details when pictures are taken in low light conditions.

The 8MP front camera is pretty good too, capable of reproducing images with sharp details even in low light conditions or indoors. The app for Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera has a lot of options to choose from, helping you take a picture to your liking. One notable feature is the Super Resolution mode, taking images at up to 4x the camera resolution.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera review 2

Here are Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera strengths: the built-in app packs a ton of features to choose from, the camera has a great manual mode for you to tinker with the settings, and it can take high quality images even at night. There are also some weak points though: there is no hardware button for the camera, the colors don’t look the same as in real life (some can consider this a plus) and the images take longer to save when taken during night time.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera: conclusion

Asus Zenfone 3 Max camera is not perfect and would hardly be the number one choice for serious photographers. However, for regular users and most tech lovers out there, this phone would be a great selection even if you are into photography or not.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe: pros and cons

Zenfone 3 Deluxe with SND 821 processor has been launched by Asus in September with impressive specs sheets. Today, let’s get a short review about the Asus top-notch phone.

zenfone 3 deluxe

Zenfone 3 Deluxe: Pros and Cons

First, let’s see how beautiful Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is! The phone comes with an all-metal body, and this unibody aluminum design looks elegant. The phone is equipped the 5.7-inch AMOLED screen which is considered in phablet territory, although there are more and more devices that came to market this year already have 5.5-inch screens. Still, Zenfone 3 Deluxe is not bigger than its 5.5-inch rivals by reducing the side bezels and placing the soft keys on the metal below. Therefore, excellent unibody metal design is the first cons from Zenfone 3 Deluxe.

Next to Zenfone 3 Deluxe Review, let’s talk about the specs which is the second good point of this device. Asus’s device offers on the inside 6GB of RAM with 256GB of ROM for Snapdragon 821 variant. There is a MicroSD slot that can take you up to 200GB and beyond. It has a dual-SIM slot that is well-suited to traveling. The 3,000mAh not removable battery inside is somewhat small for a phone of this size. However, it is easily lasting a full day with moderate usage. The USB-C port has Quick Charge 3.0, which could help your phone reaches 60 per cent charge in 39 minutes as long as you use its own charger.

zenfone 3 deluxe

On the rear, we have 23MP Sony IMX318 main camera supported by f/2.0 aperture 6-element lens and 4-axis OIS and an 8MP sensor for selfie. On paper, that sounds pretty robust, but in practice, it becomes the anchor weighing the Deluxe down. The first shortcoming Zenfone 3 Deluxe is facing that it can’t capture images consistently well. It’s pretty good for shooting in daylight, but shadows and highlights contrast too much when the auto exposure and white balancing veers off. The difficulties only appeared in low-light and night shots. Despite a reasonably open aperture and image stabilization at work, it is very difficult to get the picture right. The second drawback is that, the smartphone, despite of outstanding specs, it is still running last year’s Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and it is unclear when it will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat.

Zenfone 3 Deluxe Review

Like most things, the phone sure has its own weak and strong points. However, we would love to appreciate the effort of Asus. In fact, Zenfone 3 Deluxe is the most powerful smartphone from them. Would you buy Zenfone 3 Deluxe with $747 (Rs. 49,990)?

Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime review: best smartphone under USD 150

Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime is the best phone for under $150 in the market. In fact, the phone has features that are even better than high-end smartphones. This Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime review may show you….

Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime

Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime review: long battery life, and

Battery is the best part of this phone that I want to bring to Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime review. The Xiaomi phone can easily get you through a full day even if you are a heavy user. The phone has a 4100mAh battery, slightly bigger than the 4000 mAh Redmi Note 3 battery, and it lasts much longer than its predecessor. According to some reports, this Xiaomi phone lasts for over 16 hours, which doubles that of LeEco Le 2. Moreover, the phone can last for 6.5 hours of running game, which is also the same time of Xiaomi Mi Max.

Now it is time to talk about Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime design. The Chinese company recently keep decorating similar elements that made them all look alike. Those Xiaomi phones this year seem to use the same design, which is not innovative and eye-catching. Xiaomi may want to follow Apple. Apart from the look-alike design, this Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime review have some changes made on Redmi 3s Prime.

Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime

Redmi 3s Prime camera and flash are placed at the top left corner, the fingerprint sensor lies at the center of the upper part, where your index finger can perfectly fall on without looking. As for Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime price only $104, a 720p display can be measuring 5 inches is good. Redmi 3s Prime also has a pretty bright display. The maximum brightness with auto brightness on this Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime review is 610 lux, which is considerably brighter than the Redmi Note 3 and Meizu M3 Note.

Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime review: no explosion

Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime runs decent 3GB RAM in combination with octa-core, Snapdragon 430 SoC. This is one of the first in its series to get the Adreno 505 GPU, which is faster than the older Adreno 405 GPU on Snapdragon 616. After 15 mins of gaming, the heat can reach 39.5 degrees celsius. On recording FHD video, the maximum temperature for 10 minutes goes up to 35.9 degrees celsius. It is proper that the temperature never goes above 40 degrees, which is excellent.

Oppo R1K vs Nokia Lumia 830: beautiful, great camera and nice money

Android and Windows Phone are two leading operating system other than iOS. Each of them has their own pros and cons that attract users to choose between phones. According to their needs, users look for their suited smart phones, either Android or Windows Phone. If you are looking for a mid range smart phone to buy, then Oppo R1K and Nokia 830 are two candidates. Both are great with good specs and affordable prices.

Design

If we take a look at the two phones, we can see the clear difference that Oppo R1K has curved corners while Lumia 830 does not. The front and back of Oppo R1K has resistant glass, protecting the phone from scratch. Though both have metal frame bordering the body, Lumia 830 is more “square” with its design. Moreover, the back of Lumia 830 does not have another glass cover like Oppo R1K.

Display

dsc_9386copy

The two device sport a 5 inch display with the resolution of HD 720p, IPS panel and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Actual use proves that both phones give smooth images and sharp view. However, Lumia 830 produces warmer color and better view under sunlight.

Hardware

dsc_9368copy

For power, Oppo R1K is a tad faster with its quad core 1.3GHz processor. Both are equipped with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. However, the Oppo R1K does not support microSD, while Lumia 830 does.

R1K has a 2410mAh battery and Lumia 830 has a 2200mAh. The small difference does not give off anything, but Windows Phone is known for its power and smooth operation.

Camera

dsc_9389copy

Now it is the most amusing part. Oppo R1K has a main 13MP camera with the resolution of  4128 x 3096 pixels and a 5MP front one. The picture quality on this phone is quite high. It can also please Selfie lovers with a lot of enhance effects on the front camera.

The Pureview 10MP camera on Lumia 830 is one amazing thing either. When taking photos, the phone lets you take one photo with flash and one without. Then it offers the slider that lets you change the flash effect on your final product. However, the 1MP front camera seems to be a disappointment if you are crazy about selfie.dsc_9399copy

That’s all about Oppo R1K and Lumia Nokia 830. What do you think about these two?
