Cameras on smart phones are more and more advanced, to the level that it could rival the best of those professional cameras. The resolution of a smart phone camera is always higher and higher as each year passes. Nokia 1020, for example, has the highest resolution for its camera – 41MP. The bar keeps getting raised for other smart phones as well. A few years ago, 13MP is some amazing thing, but right now 16MP could be considered a normal specs for smart phone camera.
Samsung Galaxy S5 camera can reduce the focus time on an animated object to 0.3 second
LG G Pro 2 can blur and sharpen an area on your photo with just a single tap
Not only that, many smart phones nowadays offer the option of 4k video recording, something even a professional camera has difficulties shooting. This also means that a range of professional DSLR cameras will not seem to be that much more amazing than the cameras built on high end smart phones.
4k video on a smart phone, for example taken by Sony Xperia Z3+ camera, can almost be as good as a DSLR
If we only look at video recording, a lot of smart phones are doing the job very well. The highest end one can even rival cheaper professional cameras. However, it is hard for smart phone camera to completely overpower professional ones, since the larger the sensor is, the better the image it produces. Professional cameras can be bigger, yes, but nobody would want a huge smart phone over them.
However, the situation is changing. Samsung announced a super thin smart phone camera module lately, and it means an even brighter future for smart phone camera. A super thin module means a smart phone does not have to be bigger to have higher quality cameras. It seems that the day when we choose a smart phone over a DSLR camera is very, very near. Who knows Samsung Galaxy Note 5 camera will be the first one to make you so?

For its hardware, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is equipped with Exynos 5433 like what is built on Note 4. Octa-core processor consisting of octa-core 1.9GHz and octa-core 1.3GHz ones power up the device together with 3GB RAM. Internal storage of 32/ 64GB is available from the stat. However, users are offered 100GB on Microsoft OneDrive for extra use in 2 years.

Battery

Non-removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh
Design and dimensions
Both smart phones have nearly the same dimensions, with LG G4 being 148.9 x 76.1 x 6.3 – 9.8 mm and Samsung Galaxy S6 being 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8 mm. Weighing 155g, LG G4 is a bit heavier than the S6.
The display of Samsung Galaxy S6 is 5.1’’, while LG G4 is 5.5’’ with both phones having the same resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixel. However, since S6 has smaller screen size, its pixel density is higher (577 ppi > 533 ppi). Both have Corning Gorilla Glass for protection, and Samsung has the updated version for its flagship. In these aspects, it seems Samsung wins as Galaxy S6 seems to have better features.
Power and performance
LG G4 has a Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 & dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57, while Samsung Galaxy S6 has a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57. It seems Samsung has better power than LG G4. Moreover, as both have 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage (for the standard versions), Samsung wins over. However, if one considers having microSd support as an important feature, then LG G4 will win. S6 offers a variety of versions depending on internal storage though. Therefore, this is a tie between the two, with Samsung being the better choice.
Samsung Galaxy S6 vs LG G4 Camera
The cameras on both phones are 16MP with 4k video recording supported. Features such as laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, LED flash appear on both. However, LG G4 seems to have better shock proof and focus feature. S6 has many effects that can be integrated into the camera before shooting, while LG G4 has many manual modes which allows users to alter the speed of the shutter. Many camera tests shows that G4 produces more detailed photos. Additionally, the front camera of G4 is an 8MP one, while Samsung is just a 5Mp one. LG G4 wins this round with its great camera. It really deserves the top position for camera within the list of recent flagship.
Samsung Galaxy S6 vs LG G4 Battery
The battery of LG G4 is 3000mAh removable, while S6’s is 2600mAh and non-removable. It seems like a tie again between the two. G4 has more endurance, but the non-removable battery means a tougher phone. However, the cons of the non-removable battery seems to outweight its pros, that’s why LG G4 wins again this round.
In conclusion
LG G4 beats Samsung Galaxy S6 in camera, while Samsung Galaxy S6 wins for its performance. However, the brand names can also make a lot of different. It seems that LG does not do well with G4 ever since its release according to the news, however good it is. PricePony’s readers, how about your choice? Will it be LG G4 for better camera and battery, or Samsung Galaxy S6 for better performance?
