It was just a short fall, even without protective cases, so it should not do so much damage. There were also some reports, that even when wearing protective cases, the screen still cracked, and coincidentally, at the same place: upper left corner. Many people, including Wang Yonggang, who claims himself to be an engineer of Google, have suspected that this could be a design flaw from Xiaomi, causing the upper left corner to be easily cracked, even from short height falls.

Of course, Xiaomi has not claimed the Mi Mix screen to be shatterproof, and even for high-end smartphones, some degree of screen crack can be acceptable, even expected. However, with how easy it is to break at one position, one must wonder about the design of the phone.This could be a similar case to the Galaxy Note 7, as design flaws could cause problems for the phone, although for Xiaomi Mi Mix it is not as severe. These are for now just speculations, we still need to hear official words from Xiaomi.

As curious as we are, that’s all information revealed about this new handset. However, let’s take a look at the Mi Mix to somehow speculate the new device. The Mi Mix features a combination of a 16MP rear camera, dual LED flash and a 5MP selfie shooter. It would be great if its successor can maintain that camera specs.

For the juice pack, the Mi Mix needs a 4ooomAH battery capacity to power for its huge screen, so we guess that the Mi Mix Nano will pack a smaller capacity than that. The smaller version is also reported to be assisted by Quick charge 3.0 technology.
