In 2017, Xiaomi has introduced another new member of their mid-range line: Xiaomi Mi A1. In details, Xiaomi Mi A1 specs sport a 5.5-inch LTPS IPS LCD (1080 x 1920 pixels resolution). Under the hood, this Xiaomi handset takes power from a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset and 4GB RAM. Regarding the storage, the Xiaomi Mi A1 has 64GB ROM, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD.

Regarding the photography system, Xiaomi Mi A1 camera includes a dual 12MP (f/2.2, 26mm, 1.25 µm) + 12MP (f/2.6, 50mm, 1 µm) primary snappers. For selfie fans, there is also a 5MP (1080p) secondary shooter. Besides, the Xiaomi handset rocks a 3080mAh battery box. As for the operating system, Xiaomi has announced that the Mi A1 is going to run on the Android Oreo and Android One system. However, the Chinese brand has faced many issues during the OS implement phase.

Previously, Xiaomi has delayed the upgrade during the rollout due to many complains about unresponsiveness camera and applications. Moreover, there was also a problem with the fingerprint sensor, frozen dialer, recent app and ambient light sensor. After announcing about the postponement, Xiaomi has started to roll out the new system again. However, many users have reported a new issue with the Oreo update on MIUI forum. There seems to be a new crop of bugs that need Xiaomi to patch immediately. Furthermore, the recently released version – build 8.1.10 – fixed a host of bugs but it apparently didn’t get them all. Moreover, the EIS isn’t enabled yet either.

According to Xiaomi representative, the Chinese company is now working on the solution for the Android Oreo issue. It is going to take a few days for them to fix all the bugs.
