Mr. Siilasmaa, as Chairman of the Finnish IT giant Nokia, has been chosen to lead the Finnish group in the council. In this council, each country will nominate players (companies) to be representatives. The list of members from the China side has not been revealed yet, but Siilasmaa has specified some people he would like to work with. Some of them are Jack Ma, Pony Ma, Lei Jun, and Robin Li, who are, respectively, the heads of Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi and Baidu.

In the past, Siilasmaa has been on the same panel discussion with those figures, and would very much love to work with them again. The council will strive to work towards achieving common goals between the two nations. Not many details have been shared, but it is hinted as some common problems humanity faces. He also shared that this partnership would be very beneficial, since each country has their own strengths and weaknesses regarding innovation.
