Recently, Antutu has posted online a list of top performance smartphones in 2016. In this list, there are top 10 scoring devices that can give you the best experiences when using. Let’s have a look!

1. Apple iPhone 7 Plus

First, the winner in top performance smartphones battle is iPhone 7 Plus of Apple with the score of 181,316. We aren’t surprised at all because obviously Apple devices always perform smoothly with multitasking. Under the hood, Apple iPhone 7 Plus specs include a 5.5-inch full HD display and a Quad-core 2.34GHz Apple A10 Fusion processor.

As for other specs, iPhone 7 Plus offers 3GB of RAM along with 32/128/256GB of internal storage. All versions are non-expandable. For photography, it comes with a dual 12MP main camera and a 7MP front shooter. It also has a 2,900mAh battery inside. Apple iPhone 7 Plus price comes at least $982 for the 32GB ROM version.

3. OnePlus 3T

With the score of 163,013, OnePlus 3T is the next in Antutu list of top performance smartphones 2016. In terms of OnePlus 3T specs, there is a  5.5-inch full HD display, a powerful Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and a 3,400mAh battery. OnePlus 3T offers up to 6GB of RAM paired with 64/128GB of ROM. Just like iPhones, the memory can not be expanded. As for the cameras, it sports two 16MP on the back and on the front. OnePlus 3T price is about $440.

4. LeEco Le Pro3

Number 4 in this Antutu list is LeEco Le Pro3 (159,911). About LeEco Le Pro3 specs, it features a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 16MP primary shooter and an 8MP front-facing camera. This handset comes with a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and a big 4,070mAh battery. It is available in so many options: 4GB RAM, 32/64GB ROM or 6GB RAM, 64/128GB ROM. They are all non-expandable. LeEco Le Pro3 price is quite affordable, around $230 for each.

5. Motorola Moto Z

Next is a device from Motorola manufacturer, Moto Z. Moto Z has the score of 148,820. The smartphone wins position number 6 at the score of 147,495 is OnePlus 3. It also sports a 16MP rear camera paired with an 8MP selfie snapper. OnePlus 3 offer 6GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM (non-expandable). Finally, OnePlus 3 price is around $410.

7. Xiaomi Mi 5s

With the score of 145,093, Xiaomi Mi 5s is one of the top performance smartphones 2016 according to Antutu. The battery life of the device, as Nintendo announced, is 2.5 to 6.5 hours, depending on the game. There will be two Joy-Con gamepads, which are detachable, and can be used to play singleplayer or multiplayer. They can also recognize hand movements of users thanks to the Gyroscope and Accelerometer.

As for the game department, players can rest assured, as there will be 50 games developers working with Nintendo, and 80 games are in development. Some notable games are Zelda: Breath of the Wild, 3 new Dragon Quest games, Skyrim, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, etc. Another good aspect is that there will be no “region lock”, which means no discrimination for Japanese and American games. This is truly great news for players.

Two new Sony phones have just leaked online. Compared to the previous leak, these handsets won’t run on SND 820 chipset, but the lower one. 

New Sony phones: Helio P10, 5.5-inch Full HD

At the CES this year, many brands introduced their new products: from Asus, HTC to ZTE. And Sony is one of them. This Japanese company had a quite impressive presence at this event with their very first “proper” OLED TV. However, we’re waiting for something more than this, smartphones for example. Unlike ZTE or Asus, Sony didn’t bring any new phones to CES this year.

We are waiting for their two new Xperia phones leaked a couple months ago- G3112 and G3221. These new Sony phones used to be leaked before. Now, they continue to surfaced in China. According to the previous source, these handsets will be powered by a SND 820 chipset. However, it doesn’t look like that. They will use a different chipset which is not as strong as SND 820.

The two new Sony phones will run on an octa-core MediaTek MT6757 Helio P20 processor clocked at 2.23Ghz. In addition, Sony G3112 will come with a 5-inch or 5.2- inch 720p display (HD) while the higher version Sony 3221 will own a 5.5 -inch screen with the resolution of 1080 x 1920px (Full HD).

New Sony phones: MWC 2017

With those specs, these phones are not expected to be aimed at the high-end or flagship segment.  Right now, there is not much information (price, specs) about these phones. Sony will introduce their new products at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) this February 2017. Hopefully, this time, Sony will bring something fresh and new to their handsets, say 4GB RAM device. Furthermore, the battery capacity of HTC U Ultra is also bigger than HTC U Play‘s (3,000mAh and 2,500mAh). U Ultra runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, U Play comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Thus, HTC U Ultra wins in most of the specs battle.

The specs battle of HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play is neck-to-neck. However, in this price battle, the result is very clear. HTC U Ultra price is quite high, around $749 at least. HTC U Play price comes at only $425 for each. So, if you are looking for a premium phone with good display as well as powerful performance, you can choose HTC U Ultra. Otherwise, if you want an affordable smartphone with good cameras, HTC U Play is a proper choice.

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) leaked: 5.5″, 13MP

We have seen so far about the Galaxy J3 2017, which will be known in the US as the Galaxy J3 Emerge. Today, we are reminded that a Galaxy J7 2017 is coming too. Someone in possession of a prototype J7 (2017) has run Geekbench 4 on it, and as usual this has resulted in some information about the phone being available through the benchmark’s results database.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset. Normally, that type of chipset will boast a 2 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, but in this benchmark run it was overclocked to 2.21 GHz as you can see. It comes with 2 GB of RAM while the ROM is unknown, but it is pretty sure that the ROM is expandable via a microSD card. The SoC has the Adreno 506 GPU built-in, and the J7 (2017) also gets 2GB of RAM.

The phone will also boast a 13 MP main camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper. There is rumored that it will powered by a 3,000mAh Li-Ion battery. However, it would be 10% less than in the Galaxy J7 2016, therefore, hopefully that detail was going wrong. Past rumors also said the device would come with a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED touchscreen (up from 720p on the previous Galaxy J7 2016).
