The Taiwanese phone maker HTC is coming back strong this year with its HTC U Ultra. It has a case of sapphire glass, a secondary display and an artificial intelligence system called Sense Companion. But is this enough to compete with Samsung and Apple? Let’s read on to find out.

Besides the gorgeous design the HTC Sense Companion is probably the most important innovation. It is an artificial intelligence-based system called Sense Companion which can be controlled by voice and is intended to be your helper and friend. For example, he can suggest you to wear waterproof clothes when rain is predicted. Under the hood, the new high-end product runs on Android 7.0 with HTC Sense, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 mobile processor and comes with 4 GB of RAM combined with 64 or 128 GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSD card. The battery has a capacity of 3000 mAh and is non-removable.

The HTC U Ultra features not only high-end technology like a super sharp 16 MP rear camera combined with a 12 MP front shooter both coming with a UltraPixel mode. But also a small 2-inch secondary screen with 160 x 1040 pixels on the top of the 5.7-inch LCD QHD main screen where notifications, contacts and certain apps are displayed. In addition, it supports an USB type-c-connector, WLAN , LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and a fingerprint sensor.

New HTC phones to launch this year, no HTC 11?

According to Mr. Chialin Chang, President of HTC, the company will release six to seven phones this year. It means HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play are two of them, and we can only see four to five new smartphones coming in 2017. When asked about HTC 11, Chialin Chang said that the device won’t be named like that. For further details, he did not provide any. In addition, he also confirmed that HTC will keep the Desire series for people who love “fun and affordable” phones.

2. HTC 10 Evo

The phone comes with a 5.50-inch QHD touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and sports a water-resistant aluminum build. The phone packs an 16 MP f/2.0 primary camera with dual tone flash and an 8 MP selfie shooter. It is fueled by a non-removable 3200 mAh battery. HTC 10 Evo price is USD 560.

3. HTC One X10

HTC launched 5.5-inch phablet HTC One X10 – a handset only slightly different from its predecessor (One X9). In addition to HTC One X10 specs, it contains the octa-core Helio P10 running at 1.9GHz and paired with a Mali T860 graphics processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The touchscreen is a 5.5 inch Super LCD 1080 x 1920 pixels panel. The phone sports a 16 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera. There is no official information about HTC One X10 price.

4. HTC Desire 10 Pro

HTC Desire 10 Pro as known as Pro Cam Phone. On the camera front, there’s a 20 MP camera with laser autofocus, a BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, and Auto HDR mode. There’s also a 13 MP front camera with the same features plus a selfie panorama mode. Desire 10 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch FHD LCD display. Under the hood, HTC Desire 10 Pro has a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. Desire 10 Pro packs 4 GB RAM – 64 GB of storage. Moreover, HTC Desire 10 Pro spec is water and dust resistant body. The new HTC Desire 10 Pro priced at USD 390 and it is available to purchase now.

5. HTC Desire 650

In December 2016, HTC released a budget smartphone – HTC Desire 650. HTC Desire 650 specs met the requirement of a basic smartphone. The display is a 5-inch HD IPS LCD. HTC Desire 650 is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. HTC Desire 650 has a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front shooter.The HTC Desire 650 runs Android 6.0 and is fueled by a 2200mAh non-removable battery. HTC Desire 650 price is USD 175.

Nokia 6 will be available on January 19. However, the registrations are put up online in China on January 11. And in less than 24 hours, Nokia 6 has got about 250,000 registrations.

AssistiveTouch freezes in iOS 10.2

To solve this, just go to Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch and toggle the feature off and on.
