HTC has just launched their U event to announce their new smartphone which is “inspired by you and made for you”- HTC U Ultra. First, let’s come to the design! The phone comes with a metallic unibody design. The rear panel is coated with reflective glass. The special thing is that the front of the phone will be coated with Sapphire glass. This kind of glass is famous for the extreme scratch resistance. However, this Sapphire coat is only on some limited editions. The regular phone will come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
In terms of HTC U Ultra specs, the phone is powered by Android Nougat and a quad-core SND 821 processor, not SND 835 like we expected. It packs 4GB RAM paired with 64GB of ROM which can be expanded up to 256GB. Like LG V20, this phone also has 2 screens. The main 5.7-inch screen comes with 2K resolution and high 513 ppi while the second 2.05-inch screen has the resolution of 1040 x 160px. If you used the LG flagship once before, you’ll find this HTC 2nd screen very familiar. This screen with Al assistant holds shortcuts and delivers notifications.

For photography, the company equipped a 12MP main shooter with f/1.8, dual LED flash, 1.55μm pixel size, and OIS, just like HTC 10. On the front, you’ll find a 16MP selfie snapper. It is backed up with a 3000mAh battery. There is no 3.5mm jack, so you have to plug your earphones into a USB Type-C port. One special thing we can’t miss to mention is its U Sonic audio. Together with the earphones, this audio function will scan the structure of user’s ear and create the sound which is matched to their ears to create the awesome experience. The phone is also equipped with HT Sense Companion which is similar to Google Assitant or Siri.

With this new flagship, HTC can get back to the race of smartphone giants. The phone will be the tough rival. HTC U Ultra price for the regular model comes at about $749 (64GB). Set up your lock screen pass-code: Well, this is the first thing that you should do with your smartphone. Stop people accessing to your phone by setting a little “lock-screen security”. Google Android offers you two options, you can set the PIN code or pattern. The PIN code is more secure, of course. The pattern is easier to remember for you, yes, and it is easier to remember for someone else too! So make sure that you set your phone is protected well. you can set it up by going to Settings, Security and then Screen lock.
Always back-up your phone: This is the thing that you might forget. Using your Google Account, any Android phone can back up the data to Google Drive. At moment, Google Drive offers you 15GB free of charge. Furthermore, there are plenty of Cloud Services such as OneDrive, DropBox which offer you a fair amount of free storage. To set this up, go to Settings and then Backup & reset. Turn on the backup setting and choose and account to create your backup.

Always research before downloading an app: There are thousand of apps on Google Play, unfortunately there are plenty of dangerous apps out there too. It might contain malware and you will never know that your information is stolen. So, before download the app, you should read carefully about the warning and only using the app from a verified or well-known developers.

Don’t need to close all the recent apps: Some thinks that keeping the recent used apps on Android phone means they are still running and it is using battery and causing your phone slow. However, you should not close some of most recently used apps as it is just shortcuts to reopen apps you have recently used.
Don’t bother with Facebook app: You know that Facebook and its brother, Messenger are still running even when you don’t use it?! The fact we can’t deny that the official apps are very useful and convenient but it is very power-hungry and reduce your battery life. Therefore, you should consider using a third-party replacement or the web version to keep up to date with friends.
