Recently, Nintendo has introduced the new gaming device, the Nintendo Switch. This is also speculated to be Nintendo’s effort to keep up with Sony’s PS4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One. The device is slated for release early next year. This new console is the result of the cooperation between Nintendo and Nvidia. The Nvidia – Nintendo partnership has been in effect for two years, and recently, Jen-Hsun Huan, CEP of Nvidia, has stated that this partnership will last for a very long time into the future.

The CEO of Nvidia has said surely that the Nvidia – Nintendo partnership will last for at least two decades, meaning twenty years or more. This is entirely possible, because Nintendo has had a tradition of long cooperation with hardware manufacturers in the past. The prime examples are the most 3 recent consoles: GameCube, Wii, Wii U. Those three were the result of the cooperation between Nintendo, IBM (for CPU) and ArtX/ATI/AMD (for GPU). So, the desired 20 years or longer partnership, like Nvidia’s CEO wants, is plausible.

Before shaking hands with Nintendo for the new console Switch, Nvidia has worked with Sony before, on the PS3, in 2005. However, Sony has then turned to AMD for the production of PS4. Nintendo Switch will mark the return of Nvidia to the console market once again. Mr. Jen-Hsun Huan is confident that the new console will surely impress users everywhere. He also stated that the new device from Nintendo will provide experience never seen before to gamers. Let’s just wait and see for ourselves!

New Mass Effect Andromeda release date evidence!

A while ago, we have a supposedly leaked information of the release date of the game Mass Effect Andromeda. It is likely to be released in March 2017, as the same time as the accompanying book “Dark Horse”. However, the product description of the book has since been changed. Now, there is another piece of evidence that further support the timeframe of the release. The new evidence comes from a new promotional image for the latest installment of Mass Effect.

The Xbox digital download code on the mentioned Amazon page showed the words “Playable on 21 March 2016”. What? But 2016 has already passed, right? However, comparing with earlier leaked information of a March release date, 21 March seems a plausible date. March 21 is also a Tuesday, the day most games are released. Quite a coincidence, right? Also, Dubai game retailer Geekay, who has been correct on many occasions about release dates, has shown a March release date for the game on its site.

Despite all the evidences, or just “coincidences”, EA has not yet confirmed the Mass Effect Andromeda release date. The company told us that the date is just a placeholder, and the specific date is not yet clear. Earlier this year, EA’s CFO only stated that Andromeda will be pushed back to Q1 2017. The Amazon page mentioned above also show the release date as December 29, 2017, a standard placeholder date for most games. So for now, we still have to wait for EA’s confirmation.

Mass Effect Andromeda release date: Still a mystery

However we look at it, the release date of Mass Effect Andromeda still remains a mystery. However, it totally makes sense if EA later confirms the release date to be March 21. Recently, there is a cinematic trailer reveal. Are you excited for the game?

PC games usually look better than their console counterparts. However, looking better does not mean performing better. Today, let’s look at the most demanding PC games!

1. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (2016)

This game was released in August. Right of the bat, it managed to hook players with its stunning visual, and he gameplay is also very good. Take the role of Adam Jensen, an enhanced human, and embark on an adventure that will forever change the world. Such an interesting setting will make players want more. The level of details in the game is top-notch. However, that means you will have to stretch your PC’s processing power to the limit.

2. Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015)

Although released last year, this game still has a place on this list of most demanding PC games right now. The adventure of Lara Croft will be even more impressive if you put everything at max settings. The scenery will be breathtaking. However, turning on max settings, especially the VXAO will drop the performance by more than 20 per cent. With the GTX 1080 card, it will fall below 60fps mark. You know how demanding this is!

3. Battlefield 1 (2016)

Having just been released quite recently, Battlefield 1 is also on this list of most demanding PC games. It has already broken records for DICE. The World War I cannot come any more realistic than this. At max settings, it is as if you are on the battlefield. In most cases, a core i5 processor is not really something to worry about. However, with this game, there will be a sharp drop in performance when switching from a 6-core i7 processor to a 4-core i5 processor. During intense sequences, the frame rate will drop below 60 fps. It is truly demanding!

4. Grand Theft Auto V (2016)

The PC version of this game was just released last year. The game has been growing impressively ever since its release on console, and the PC version is just the icing on the cake. Even though the GTA series is not known for requiring top class PC, the fifth installment can really test your device. Maxxing out every options, enabling Nvidia PCSS, 4xMSAA, and performance will drop to around 60 fps for a high-end PC, with periodic dips. This is truly a step up for the franchise.

5. Hitman (2016)

This famous stealth action game will not punish your system as much as the other games on this list. However, stretch the settings to maximum, and your device will also be stretched out too. It’s not just about the graphics card, you will want to have a good CPU as well, preferably with as many cores as possible. Then you run the game in DX12 mode to fully utilize these cores. To have 60 fps at 1080p, you need to have GTX 980/1060 6GB or RX470! That is also quite impressive!

Sony has recently updated its ShareFactory PS4 app, and now users can make GIFs from gaming clips captured on the system. The made GIFs then can be Tweeted to your friends (or the whole world). Let’s take a look at how it works!

Firstly, make sure that you have the ShareFactory PS4 application, and it is updated to the latest version as well. Then, you can jump right into PS4 GIFs making action! In the main UI, choose the “GIFS” option. You can make GIFs out of clips or videos saved on your system, or even edited clips on the system as well. Once you pick the video that you want, just pick a starting point. Don’t worry, you can scroll back and forth until you choose the perfect starting point. Then you press “X” to prepare the GIF, and the app will make a nine seconds GIF from the starting point!

You can already use the nine-second GIF, but the app allows you to trim from both ends as well. You can see the GIF looping to know how it looks for each action you make. Once you are satisfied, choose the option to share. You can share to Tweeter right then, or choose “Share later”, and it will be saved to the system. The GIFs you make will be saved in your “Capture Gallery” folder, in the Share Factory sub-folder. Take note, the GIFs are tailored to Tweeting, so the resolution is quite low. Hopefully in the future there will be options to make HD GIFs as well.

Battlefield 1 has just been released to the market recently, after a lot of hype and anticipation. Just a few weeks after launch, we have confirmation that Battlefield 1 launch is the biggest one in DICE’s history!

Battlefield 1 launch is the biggest in DICE’s history!

Battlefield 1 is the most anticipated game for the holiday this year, along with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The game has created a lot of hype, and players anticipated this game a lot. On October 21, the game was released to the market. Infinite Warfare was released later, on November 4, and its result fell short compared to older games in the franchise. On the other hand, Battlefield 1, according to DICE’s statement, has gone on to become the biggest launch in the history of the company in its first ten days only!

The result is based on the number of daily active players. DICE has reported that players have spent a total of 59 million hours in the game already in the first ten days! Among those, nine million hours were spent on the new Operations mode. Furthermore, 32 million Battlepacks were earned, and players deployed a total of 1.6 million Behemoth vehicles. The deadliest weapon of that timeframe was the Scout knife, and horses have killed 5.8 million times, making it the deadliest soldier-killing “vehicles”. There have not been any reports about the number of Battlefield 1 copies sold. However, some analysts believed that up to 16.5 million copies have been sold. DICE has also reported that they are working on upcoming features and tweaks to the game. There will be hardcore servers, a new custom game, and the rent-a-server feature will be included. The Suaez map is also being updated to have more capture points for the Conquest mode.
