These numbers are the same with IP 6s. With IP 7, you can use the internet up to 12 hours on 3G, 12 hours on LTE, and 14 hours on Wifi. These numbers on 6s are 10,10, and 11. iPhone 7 has 13 hours of wireless video playback and 40 hours of wireless audio playback.

On the other hand, iPhone 7 Plus now has the longest battery life of all iPhones. The 3G talk time and standby are 21 hours and 16 days, respectively. The wireless audio playback goes up to 60 hours. The time of internet use is 1 hour longer than iPhone 7 in each category (3G, LTE, wifi). Compared to 6s Plus, LTE and 3G internet using are 20% longer. Meanwhile, Wifi browsing time is 27% longer.

With such resolutions, it’s obvious that Nokia P1 will attract more attention, but it doesn’t mean that the 13MP shooter of Nokia C1 is defeated, as the number of megapixels is not a deciding factor.

Normally such devices are covered with a light coat of substance that enhances their ability to stay safe from the average penetration of water. For example, water-resistant devices can survive light rains, hand-washing, and sweats. However, this feature can wear off after long time use. Water-repellent is a higher level of water-resistant. Water repellent devices are able to repel water from them, or you can call them hydrophobic devices. The ones called water-repellent devices are usually covered by a very thin coat of nanotechnology. Water cannot stay on the surface of that coat, which can be located on the inside, on the outside or even both. Devices with that technology are more likely to survive water penetration than common ones.

Last but not least, we have water-proof. If your smartphone is labeled “waterproof”, it is able to stay untouched after heavy “attack” of water, or in other words, it is impervious to water. Such devices can be placed in the water for hours without encountering any problem. Users can put these devices in their pockets while they are swimming or even scuba-diving.

Water resistant, water repellent and waterproof: How about smartphones?

There are many smartphones that come with water protection feature. Some of them are labeled “waterproof”. Some are labeled “water resistant”. However, if we consider the definitions above, none of smartphones nowadays are waterproof, except the rugged ones for military purposes like Sonim XP7, Samsung Galaxy S7 active,… So if you are having a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 or you want to buy an iPhone 7 in the future, don’t try to test its water resisting ability by extreme methods because that function may wear off after long time use.

The metallic body of this phone will be coated with glass on the front and the back. On the front, the phone could probably use 2.5D curved glass. This makes A8 look similar to the high-end Galaxy S7.

In terms of Galaxy A8 specs, the handset is expected to be powered by an octa-core (4×2.1GHz + 4×1.5GHz) Exynos 7420 processor. This chipset is the same with a Samsung flagship last year – Galaxy S6. Besides, A8 may pack 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB of inbuilt storage (+up to 256GB). For photography, Samsung could add a 5MP camera on the front and a 16MP shooter on the back. In addition, Samsung A8 might feature a 5.7-inch Full HD display and run on an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

With those specs above, Samsung A8 (2016) will be much stronger than the original version in 2015. This phone will also be the tough rival to many 3GB phones in the market like Redmi Note 4, BLU Vivo 5R, or Moto G4 Play. Samsung Galaxy A8 price, as well as release date, is still a mystery. The new mobile game Titanfall: Frontline has just been revealed by the producers! The game is a free multi-player strategy card game for smartphones and tablets, on both iOS and Android platforms.

Last year, we knew that a mobile game version of PC Titanfall game was coming this year, from the multi-year and multi-game partnership between Respawn, Nexcon and Particle City. As promised, the producers has just announced that the new mobile game from the Titanfall franchise will be out this fall on iOS and Android! Titanfall: Frontline is a free-to-play strategy card game where players battle each other as brigade commanders.

The mobile game will have Titanfall ‘s shooting battles recreated using Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft‘s card game concept. In the game, you will battle other players using a deck of your virtual cards. Players can build their deck from hundreds of different cards with Pilots, Titans and special ability Burn Cards. There will be options to upgrade some cards and create unique combinations – all to win against the enemy’s army!

The three companies have been working very closely together in the past year to create a game that could both introduce mobile gamers to the Titanfal universe and offer a highly-customizable strategy card game. The producers will make the gaming experience of Titanfall: Frontline more intense with many animations and sound effects, as you can see from the taken screenshots above.

Lenovo has just launched their new budget smartphones in India: Lenovo A6600, A6600 Plus, and A7700. With 5.5-inch display, 2GB RAM, those phones are aimed at the budget segment. 

Lenovo A6600 family: 2GB RAM budget devices

Lenovo continues to expand their market shares in India by launching new budget products. This time, the Chinese company brings not one, but three devices to the Indian market. The three phones come from the same series – the A series. They’re Lenovo A7700, A6600, and A6600 Plus. These handsets all run Android Marshmallow OS and support 4G VolLTE.

Let’s come to Lenovo A7700 first. Under the hood, the phone runs on a 1.0GHz MediaTek 6735P SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. There is also 16GB of inbuilt storage. For photography, the company added a 2MP front-facing camera and an 8MP primary shooter with dual LED flash. Other Lenovo A7700 specs include a 5.5-inch HD display and a 2900mAh battery capacity.

Next is the siblings Lenovo A6600 and A6600 Plus. As siblings, the specs of these two phones are similar. Both are powered by a 1.0GhHz MediaTek 6735P processor. They have a 5.0-inch HD display, a 2300mAh battery life, 16GB of expandable ROM (+up to 32GB), and a combo of 2MP+8MP front and rear cameras. The only difference between Lenovo A6600 specs and A6600 Plus specs is RAM. A6600 packs only 1GB of RAM while the Plus version has double that, with 2GB RAM.

Lenovo A6600 family: price and release date

With all three phones above, Lenovo is aiming at the budget segment in India.  Last year their predecessors – A6000, A6000 Plus, A7000 – brought huge success to the company. Hopefully, this year Lenovo A6600, A6600 Plus, and A7700 can do the same. Lenovo A6600 price is about $105 ~ Rs. 6999 while Lenovo A7700 price comes at about $128 ~ Rs. 8540. A6600 Plus price is still a mystery, but we suspect it will be just slightly higher than A6600. Those devices will be available this September. Lenovo A6600 release date is in the middle of September, while Lenovo A7700 release date is end of this month.

Dual camera phones are not new in the market. More and more phones come with dual-camera setup. However, not all of dual cameras are for the same purpose! Let’s consider this list to see what to expect from such phones by different manufacturers!

1. LG Optimus 3D and HTC EVO 3D

These are two first dual camera phones in the market! These phones were made for users who want to create their own 3D videos. The two cameras in the setup share the same specs, but they take pictures of the same object from different angles. The pictures then are mixed together to produce a 3D video or images. This feature seems super cool but in fact, the two phones didn’t succeed in the market.

The 3D technology was new and interesting at that time, but it was not something people were dying for. The new camera technology raised LG Optimus 3D price and HTC EVO 3D price so much higher, not to mention that in order to view 3D images and videos, users had to buy 3D glasses. Even 3D TV could not make it in the market. So it’s not surprising that these phones weren’t hits.

2. HTC M8

The HTC seems to have learned from the failure of HTC EVO 3D. With HTC M8, the company has changed the camera technology in the dual set-up. Instead of shooting from different angles, in HTC M8, the secondary camera is to measure the distance between objects and the lens, in order to create photos with blurry background and allow the users to “shoot first, focus later”. This technology was made to produce similar photos to those captured by DSLR camera. However, HTC M8 was also not successful in the market because the blurring effect was not as good as expected. HTC M8 price is currently $530 (Rs. 35428).

3. LG G5 / LG V20

One of the next dual camera phones is LG G5. The secondary snapper in the dual setup of this phone are for wide-angle shooting (135 degree angle). However, that function is quite too much for smartphone camera. It looks like LG is too ambitious, as even DSLR cameras do not support 135 degree angle shooting. Users also don’t want to spend too much for such features (LG G5 price is $490 – Rs. 32754). As a result, LG G5 is not really popular in the market. LG V20 – the latest flagship from LG also shares the same technology. Let’s see will this phone can take “revenge” for its predecessor (LG V20 price is expected to be $649 – Rs. 43382)!

4. Huawei P9

Huawei owners seem to be fond of black and white photos! The brand have added a monochrome camera to the main camera setup for black and white photos. The products of this camera is impressive, but after all, users don’t want to spend money for the effect that they already found in free photo-editing apps like VSCO or Instagram (Huawei P9 price is $500 – Rs. 33422). So again, Huawei P9 is not remarkable in the world of smartphone photography. However, thanks to the powerful Huawei P9 specs (HiSilicon Kirin 955, 4GB RAM), this phone is still popular in the market.

5. iPhone 7 Plus

There will be no more Lumia Windows phones

Recently, all Lumia Windows phones of Microsoft have been discounted heavily. What is the reason for this? According to some sources, we got an answer for this price drop. If you are a Lumia fans, you may not like this. Microsoft is believed to clear all the Lumia stocks. This means that the Lumia lineup may be erased forever.

Due to the poor sales of Lumia phones, Microsoft seems likely to remove this series. It is said that this US company will kill this series in this December, right at the New Year’s Eve.
