Samsung Galaxy C9 specs unveiled: 4GB RAM, 6.0-inch

The report comes from SamMobile which points that Samsung is working on a new smartphone in 2016. This phone has codenamed ‘Amy’ and revealed a model number SM-C9000. Last year, Galaxy C7 has a model number C7000. Thus, we predict the new Samsung phone is Galaxy C9 which is a successor of Galaxy C7. Along with leaked images is a couple of  Galaxy C9 specs.

Like Samsung Galaxy C5 and C7, the C9 will also have a metallic unibody but with a bigger screen. As you know, the C7 gets a 5.7-inch fullHD AMOLED display. Each subsequently numbered phone gets a bigger screen. Because the other “9” smartphones like Galaxy A9 or A9 Pro, all have a 6.0-inch display, Galaxy C9 is likely to come with a 6.0-inch display. In terms of other Galaxy C9 specs, there will be a mid-range chipset with 4GB RAM. A 4GB LTE will be packed on board, as well as 32GB of internal storage.

SaSamsung galaxy C9: 4GB RAM phone, 6.0-inch

Like C5 and C7, Galaxy C9 could bring users a combo of 16MP/8MP cameras. In addition, while Galaxy C5 has 2600mAH battery and Galaxy C7 has 3300 mAH battery, we expect Galaxy C9 battery reaches 4000mAH capacity. As you see, all Galaxy C9 specs make it a strong device. It could probably be even stronger than Galaxy Note 7!

Samsung Galaxy C9: price and availability

Firstly, let’s look back Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. Both phones offer nice prices when considering their specs. Specifically, Galaxy C5 price is $343 and Galaxy C7 price is $433. So, with a bigger screen, a bigger battery, and a stronger processor, Samsung Galaxy C9 price will definitely be higher than its sibling. A price tag of $480 could be a suitable number, do you agree?

10 best phones with quick charge in 2016: from 0 to 100%

There are phones that need hours to be fully charged and it can make you crazy because of waiting while you really need your handset to do important things. Yet, you won’t be in such a situation if you have the following machines. Just to let you know, they are “the fastest charging phones in 2016”, from zero to… 100%.

best phones with quick charge

1. LG V10 and LG G5: 1 hour 5 minutes and 1 hour 16 minutes

As we know, LG V10 was one of the most well-known smartphones of the company last year and is also the fastest charging device to date. Although its battery capacity (which is 3,000mAh) as well as battery life is not impressive at all, V10 can totally be proud of its fast charging tech, which allows a full charge in just about one hour. Other LG V10 specs are excellent, too. Please, click here for more information.

Right after LG V10 is LG G5, whose battery life and capacity (2,800mAh) are not very good, either. However, its cell is easily removable and able to be recharged fast. You just need to wait 1 hour and 16 minutes and the phone will be ready for any duty. That somehow makes up for the G5’s disadvantage as not lasting a full day with intense use, don’t you think?

2. Samsung Galaxy S6, Note 5 and S7: 1 hour 18 minutes, 1 hour 21 minutes, and 1 hour 28 minutes

The second place belongs to a group of Samsung flagships. This somehow shows that Samsung’s fast charging technology has been improved much these days. Galaxy S6, Note 5 and S7 have similarly fast charging speeds in spite of owning different battery capacities: 2,550mAh, 3,000mAh, and 3,000mAh, respectively. Besides, their other specifications are also great to perform any task you want. So, we guess they are ideal choices for those who are looking for strong flagships.

best phones with quick charge

3. Google Nexus 6P: 1 hour 29 minutes

Number three is Google Nexus 6P, packing a 3,450mAh batt and quick charging capabilities such as a default USB-C charger and about 1.5 hours for fully replenishing the cell. Moreover, the Nexus 6P offers the advantage of “being first in the line for Android updates”, which means you will be the first to experience Android 7.0 one it is officially released. Cool, huh?!

best phones with quick charge

4. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge: 1 hour 39 minutes

Next, we’ve got another Samsung smartphone: Galaxy S7 edge. It sports a much larger batt (3,600mAh) than its sibling Samsung Galaxy S7, which explains why the edge takes a bit more time to be recharged. Anyway, many people still consider 1 hour and 39 minutes an impressive amount of time for refueling such a battery. How about you?

best phones with quick charge

5. HTC 10 and Google Nexus 5X: 1 hour 40 minutes (both)

To continue our “10 best phones with quick charge in 2016” list, we would like to introduce HTC 10 and Google Nexus 5X to you. Both of them can charge up fully in just an hour and 40 minutes. Though, speaking more specifically, HTC 10 seems better since it has to deal with a larger battery inside (3,000mAh vs 2,700mAh).

6. LG G4: 2 hours 7 minutes

Coming up next is LG G4, the predecessor of LG G5. Even though the handset does have fast charging tech to support its 3,000mAh battery, it still takes 2 hours and 7 minutes to replenish the cell from 0% to 100%. According to some reports, that is partly because the LG G4 uses a stock charger instead of a USB-C one.

best phones with quick charge

7. Xiaomi Mi5: 2 hours 19 minutes

And the 7th place goes to Xiaomi Mi5, one of the best current flagships of the firm. As we know, Xiaomi Mi5 specs include a 3,000mAh cell with Quick Charge 3.0 technology (83% in 30 minutes). Nonetheless, reality has shown that it takes up to 2 hours and 19 minutes for the batt to be full, absolutely longer than the above machines.

8. Huawei P9: 2 hours 26 minutes

Right after Xiaomi is Huawei, the fastest growing phone maker in 2015. In 2016, they released a flagship series including Huawei P9. It houses a 3,000mAh battery under the hood to fuel the whole device. It is reported that P9 delivers good battery life in many tests and even better in daily use as efficient app management helps a lot. But, when it comes to fast charging speed, we think P9 is not very outstanding cause it needs up to 2 hours and 26 minutes to be fully replenished.

9. OnePlus 2: 2 hours 30 minutes

Just 4 minutes longer than the Huawei P9 and you’ve got a fully recharged OnePlus 2. And it’s worth noting that OnePlus 2 battery is bigger than the P9’s, capable of 3,300mAh and equipped with the modern USB-C stock charger. Yet, it does not seem to work well much as the OP 2 still needs more than 2 hours to get its fuel tank 100% full.

10. Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus: 2 hours 30 minutes and 2 hours 45 minutes

Finally, Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus share the last spot with each other. Actually, we don’t know if Apple fans are happy to see them win many other machines and stand in the top 10, or unhappy to know that they take nearly 3 hours to be fully fueled. Anyhow, we have to praise them for stellar performances in terms of battery life, and hope that Apple will find a way to make battery longevity and quick charge speed a good balance.

Smartphone market Q2 2016: Android and iOS dominate, Samsung top

A recent report has revealed the shares of brands in the smartphone market Q2 2016, with some really interesting results. The report was made by Gartner, a specialist in tech review.

Smartphone market Q2 2016: Total domination from Android and iOS

According to this report of smartphone market Q2 2016, in this year’s second quarter, a total of 296 million Android smartphones has been delivered, making up 86.2% of total market share. The number of iPhones lagged behind a lot, with about 44 million units delivered, taking 12.9%. So, both Android and iOS make up of 99.1% of the market! Meanwhile, only 0.6% goes to Windows only, 0.1% for BlackBerry. The rest belongs to other systems. A total domination of Android and iOS!

Gartner also noted in the smartphone Q2 2016 report that revenue of high-end smartphones has reduced in this quarter, due to user’s anticipation for new models released in the latter half of the year. And rightly so: there are a lot of new flagships coming towards the end of this year! About feature phones, there is a drop of 14% compared to last year. All of the big markets have a general drop of 4.9%, except for Japan. On the other hand, rising markets, except Latin America, have recorded growth of 9.9%.

Smartphone market Q2 2016: Samsung on top

In this smartphone market Q2 2016 report, Samsung has displayed dominance over their competition during the period. With market shares of 10% more than Apple, who is in second place, Samsung has firmly established the title of largest smartphone manufacturer. Thanks to the A and J series of smartphones, Samsung managed to compete with Chinese manufacturers with their strong but cheaper smartphones, even gain control of some lost markets.

Apple, on the other hand, has experienced three consecutive quarter of slowing down demands, as sales declined 7.7% in Q2 of 2016, even in North America, their biggest market, as well as China, Western Europe, and some Asia-Pacific areas. This is truly alarming for Apple; hopefully, their future products can do something about that! Overall, only 5 of the top 10 vendors showed growth, including South Korea’s Samsung and 4 Chinese manufacturers (Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi and BBK Communication Equipment), where Oppo had the biggest growth of 129%! That’s the whole smartphone market Q2 2016’s picture.

Most powerful deca-core phones for August: 4GB RAM, 4050 mAH

Deca-core phones are not new to some people but they are not widely popular as well. Today, I’d like to introduce the list of some lucky phones that are equipped with this unique platform.

deca-core phones

1. Meizu MX6

Meizu MX6 is the first phone in Meizu MX-series to use a 10-core A72-based CPU to guarantee high performance and processing speeds. Thus, this Meizu phone runs on MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, which is the very first tri-cluster architecture. This deca-core includes two Cortex-A72 processor cores clocked at 2.5GHz for optimal performance, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2GHz for striking a balance between performance and power consumption, and another four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz for power efficiency. This kind of processor comes with a Mali-T800 GPU. Not all deca-core phones on the list will show up with such processor.

That is for Meizu MX6 deca-core, now let’s see why Meizu MX6 specs are good. The phone flaunts a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution and 4GB RAM for gaming users. Along with it is a 32GB of internal storage to save all of your photos, videos and data, the only draw-back is that there is no microSD card slot to expand its memory. In terms of Meizu MX6 cameras, it sports a combo of 12MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter coupled with 3060 mAh battery for power. To have this handset in your pocket, you need to prepare for $299, which is Meizu MX6 price.

Similar to its sibling above, the phone mounts 5.5-inch full HD display and runs on Android Marshmallow. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the screen from damage. This is also a deca-core phone but it comes with MediaTek Helio X25 chipset, which is high and exclusive.
