Yesterday, Oneplus Two, one of the most anticipated smart phones of Q3 2015, got released. It created a hype over the release, and many users are interested in it. If we look on the internet, articles about Oneplus Two are all over the place. This time, PricePony shows you some of the most interesting things about Oneplus Two, more particularly, its design.

OnePlus Two is similar to OnePlus One in design. However, many users who experience using the phones during the launching conference agree that Oneplus Two is indeed beautiful.

And yes it is.

Instead of using a plastic frame, OnePlus Two is built with aluminium/magnesium alloy frame around the body, plus some stainless steel touches. This helps the phone look more tough, firm, and more elegant than its predecessor. Moreover, the back cover of the device can be interchanged between many versions of the StyleSwap.

Oneplus also sport the device with a 5.5 inch Full HD display with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 401 ppi pixel density. Oneplus even stated that the screen works well under sunlight, so you will have full viewing experience. It is not a Quad HD version, but many people won’t notice the difference between FHD and QHD anyways.

Moreover, the device offers a fingerprint sensor, something that becomes quite popular nowadays. Oneplus stated that it can read faster than Apple’s fingerprint sensor. Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered.

Along with that is an alert slider, which lets you switch between notification modes. It is very convenient since you do not have to unlock the phone, go to settings or do any other things to switch them on.

On the right side of OnePlus Two’s body lie the volume buttons. The audio jack is located on the top, and the bottom has the micro grilles and USB Type C slot.

USB Type C is a special feature on OnePlus Two.

After reading all of these, do you feel like you want OnePlus Two already ? OnePlus Two will be priced at around $329 for the 16Gb version.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + have been trending lately as two of the hottest devices lately. Although there are a lot of specs info on Note 5 circulating the internet ever since we heard about it, it seems that many people are still very concerned about Note 5. Instead of waiting until August 13, let us take a look at how it will be under some benchmark points.

The benchmark screenshot confirms some information (at least, right now) about the Note 5. As we have known for some time, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will likely be equipped with an Exynos  7422 chipset. Some more info we can get about Note 5 is shown in the screenshot below.

As we can see, CPU-Z shows some detailed information on some of the main devices sported on the Note 5. According to the prototype phone, 4GB RAM is also confirmed for Note 5. The device tested is a 32Gb version, though we will not know if there are any other variants. Also, let us hope that it will have a microSD slot.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will be the Operating System, of course. Samsung’s TouchWiz UI will be running on it and provided the interacting environment. Moreover, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have a 5.7-inch display with the resolution of 2560 x 1440p, thus the pixel density of 480dpi. As Samsung does upgrade its screen tech over time, it seems Note 5 will have better screen even after release too.

Although this is 90% confirmed, let us see how Samsung will unveil their phones on August 13.

As a tradition found in previous years, Samsung usually launched there Note series during IFA event in early September. However, since the iPhone 6S has been announced and is receiving a lot of attention, Samsung seem to want an early start in sales for their upcoming flagships: the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Both devices are said to be launch in an event on August 12 and go straight on sale before the end of the month.

To prepare for the important release, both smartphones have just went through certification process in Singapore’s IDA database. Completing that, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ carry model number SM-N920I and SM-G928I respectively.

Let us talk a bit about the  Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ design. Both devices are confirmed to carry a metal unibody with premium glass like the popular Galaxy S6/S6 Edge. This also implies that their batteries will be non-removable and they may not have expandable mircoSD card slots.

Briefing in terms of Galaxy Note 5 specs, the smartphone features a 5.7” with beautiful Quad HD display. The Note 5 will also run Samsung Exynos chipset with octa-core processor. Other specs like RAM and battery are not finalized yet, but we really expect the device to come with 4GB RAM and a huge 4,100 mAH.

Now it’s Galaxy S6 Edge+ turn for some specs reveal. The flagship will be carrying a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor just like the LG G4 with Exynos 7420 chipset and 3GB of RAM. For now, you maybe wondering what are the differences between the S6 Edge+ and its predecessor standard S6 Edge. What we know so far is that, the Plus version will have a slightly larger screen (5.4” compared to 5.3”) and a bigger battery (3,000 mAH).

Philippines is a good market of Samsung. And because of that, we can totally expect the couple flagship to arrive locally in around September, after they hit the shelves in their hometown Korea. We will surely keep you updated with any further news about the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ since there is no track about their pricing as well as availability yet.

The Sony Xperia series is doing well lately with many new and awesome flagships being launched to the market. We have known about Sony Xperia Z3 Plus (aka Xperia Z4) recently introduced internationally. And the internet has been falling in love with a render picture of the Xperia Z5 we shared last month.

Latest reports suggest that we may see the Xperia Z5 soon in real life. It is said that Sony will release this bae first in Japan this September 2015. Some sources also say that the Xperia Z5 will debut along with 2 other variants: The Xperia Z5 Compact and Z5 Ultra. So we can really expect the devices to hit the shelves soon before year-end holiday.

Other Xperia Z5 specs include fingerprint scanner, putting it in the same league as the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S5. A beautiful 21MP Sony Exmor RS IMX230 CMOS sensor will make it possible to record videos of gorgeous 4K quality.

Moreover, reports also mentioned “Type-C” – a possible hint at the USB-C port, as well as the numeric 9 which hinted at a September announcement for the Xperia Z5.

Sony Xperia Z5 going real?

Although we can not confirm anything for now and the waiting is still going on; the fact that there is a chance such beast will appear in September really excites us. Hopefully, the Xperia Z5 will be far better than most of the Xperia smartphones nowadays.

LG G4 Pro Beast coming soon

LG G4 with super camera and beautiful leather cover has been launched earlier and made a hit in 2015. Leaking news is suggesting the release of a new brother of the flagship, the LG G4 Pro, expected to show up in the near future. The LG G4 Pro specs packs some improved tech compared to its predecessor, targeted in the high-end market.

In terms of specs, according to a source we have, the device will sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, later and more powerful than the current popular Snapdragon 810. LG G4 Pro screen features 5.8” and beautiful 2K display. In order to catch up with the 4GB RAM trend of today’s premium smartphones, LG won’t miss this powerful RAM for their newest flagship together with 32GB or 64GB storage. All of those specs will combine into an amazing smartphone.

Talking about sensor, one of the selling points in today’s flagships, LG G4 Pro camera is said to pack an incredible combo with 27MP rear and 8MP front. Those who like capturing pictures will seriously take this into consideration.

Design-wise, rumors are saying that the LG G4 Pro will have a full metal body. What does this suggest? The flagship is expected to be elegant and premium in look. However, this piece of information is not finalized by LG yet.

LG G4 Pro to beat Samsung Galaxy Note 5?

The LG G4 Pro is coming on the way to fight directly with Samsung Galaxy Note 5 when they both are launched in the near future. We don’t know any about LG G4 Pro price yet, but considering the specs, LG G4 Pro price will certainly be higher than its predecessor. As LG G4 price in PH already started at 31K, Price Pony are guessing the Pro price tag will be at least PHP 40K and more.

ZTE Axon: New 4GB RAM beast coming 

Since smartphones with 4GB RAM are being highly appreciated these days, more and more recent flagships are packing this as a winning selling point. ZTE’s latest device, the ZTE Axon is not an exception. After success with the previous ZTE Nubia in Asian markets, this premium smartphone is targeted for the US market exclusively, at least for the first period.

In terms of specs, the ZTE Axon has some other very fancy features besides powerful 4GB RAM: a dual-lens camera supporting 4K video and Hi-Fi audio playback and recording.

The special thing about this phone is that, the dual-lens camera helps refocusing pictures after you take them, and even blurring backgrounds.  ZTE Axon front camera is said to be “smile-activated” in order to let you “step up your selfie game”. We have also heard rumors claiming that we’ll see twin microphones “with some of the best in noise suppression technology”.

The ZTE Axon launch date in the US is set to be on July 14th. And until then, we won’t say anything official about the phone yet. To prepare for the big event in more than 2 weeks, the company has set up a website for their flagship ZTE Axon. There is a contest for you to participate in, which may lead to winning an Axon.

Also we got to know, the ZTE Axon price will be around $450, making it relatively affordable for a phone with high-end specs. This is equivalent to ZTE Axon price in PH as around PHP 20,333.

By ZTE Axon launch date, the phone will be available in three color versions: Phthalo Blue, Ion Gold, and Chromium Silver. We are expecting it to pack a fast processor, a big (if not huge) battery, and latest Android OS too.

Xiaomi is one of the popular smartphone brands which is loved not only by users in their homeland but also by user in other Asian markets. Recently, they made some good hits with really nice flagships listed as the fastest Snapdragon phone Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, Xiaomi Mi Pad, Xiaomi Red Mi and most currently Xiaomi Mi4.

Rumors about the successor to the Mi4, reportedly Xiaomi Mi5, have been over the internet for some time now. A new leak suggests that the company plans to launch Mi5 along with a larger Mi5 Plus variant this July. According to us – PricePony, Mi5 could be an upgraded version of Xiaomi Mi4 with a bigger screen and more powerful specs.

The phones are powered by 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 processor, 16MP or 20MP rear camera and fingerprint scanner. Other Xiaomi Mi5 and Mi5 Plus specs include Android Lollipop, 64-bit quad-core and batteries up to more than 3,000 mAH.

If you are interested in smartphones with beautiful bezel-less design, then the Xiaomi Mi5 and Mi5 Plus will excite you. The company claim that they are going to feature these 2 flagship with border-less metal bodies.  If the design is good and the specs turns out to be what we have heard so far, Mi5 Plus would be a real smartphone killers.

However, with such design and specs, Mi5 Plus price is likely to be higher than 2,000 yuan, which costs 14,600 in our currency.

If you remember the Xiaomi’s latest high-end device, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro price in PH is 2,999 Yuan (PHP 21,800). According to our references at PricePony, we predict that Xiaomi Mi5 and Mi5 Plus price in PH could range around PHP 16K to 23K. However, before Xiaomi officially speaks their mind, we still hope both of the flagship would come with reasonable prices.

Our favorite Asus Zenfone 2 over the media lately comes in many versions with different RAM and ROM, as we already wrote in our many previous posts.

If you still remember, earlier last month, we already heard about the rumor that Asus was working on a brand new variant with 128GB going together with the powerful 4GB RAM.

Recently, Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM was officially but quietly launched in India and even went on sale via Flipkart. Although Asus is based in Taiwan, India – the super potential market was the first to welcome this new member. And of course, its hometown was the next to welcome this beast. In terms of battery life, it is leaking that the Meizu MX5 Pro will sport 4,000 mAH capacity to better supports all other performances. It also comes with a fingerprint reader as to update with newest tech for the newest flagship.

In terms of the design, it appears to have a glass back and is easy on the eyes.

Since our last post about Bluboo X500, more leaking information has been found about this beautiful flagship. New renders show Bluboo X500 is actually a very elegant-looking 5.0” device. It seems to come along with glass and metal body, and is implied to feature a curved panel.

The phone is said to have a 2.5D display, alloy chassis plus a physical home button. In terms of specs, Bluboo X500 is going for the popular 4GB RAM and powerful Mediatek Helio X10 chipset together with LTE support. If this is true, the X500 will run very smoothly for heavy tech users.

In comparison with its previous flagship, Bluboo X550, the X500 packs a smaller battery capacity, only 3,050 mAH compared to 5,300 mAH. However, we hope that it can make up for the less battery by much better RAM since the X550 only sports a 2GB RAM.

The Bluboo X550 price in Philippines will be around PHP 7,600. We don’t know yet about further specs like X500 camera, OS, processor etc. However, we are looking for Bluboo X500 launch date and price in PH soon in the next month. Stay tuned for more updates to come!
