Best smartphone commercials

1. Samsung Galaxy: The Rest of Us

The first commercial of best smartphone commercials is Samsung Galaxy: The Rest of Us. As you may know, this commercial was released in February in 2017 after the Nokia 7 debacle. “The Rest of Us” features filmmaker Casey delivering his own rendition of an award show acceptance speech.

On the other hand, it confirmed how people might use their Galaxy device to really make inventive movies without the need for a big budget or studio. Overall, Samsung Galaxy: The Rest of Us was the first success in Samsung’s multichannel approach to reinforce its call to Do What You Can’t brand campaign.

2. Nokia Lumia 920 “Don’t Fight”

The second ad of best smartphone commercials belongs to Nokia. In 2013, Nokia and Windows joined forces to beat Apple and Samsung with Nokia Lumia 920. According to the commercial, the Android and iPhone fans should be clashing at a video. It quickly fell into a fight over who’s smartphone was better. In the end, the Nokia Lumia 920 was left standing with the slogan “Don’t fight. Switch”. However, the video doesn’t say too much about the Nokia Lumia 920 features. Overall, Nokia Lumia 920 “Don’t Fight” was a nice industrial for a product.

3. Apple iPhone 4S “Siri”

In the Apple iPhone 4S commercial, Zooey Deschanel uses Siri’s “intelligent personal assistant” technology to respond to verbal commands. She asked Siri quite simple issues, and got immediate and correct responses. Finally, the advertising made Siri look fantastic, and it has been promoted to ones which had not bought an iPhone before head to make purchase.

4. Nokia Lumia 900 “The smartphone beta test is over”

Nokia Lumia 900 was launched in 2012 at a time when Microsoft was nonetheless attempting to make Home Telephone a factor. The advertising tries to claim that Nokia Lumia 900 is the first real smartphone. Parnell, in his deadpan humor type, walks around telling unsuspecting those whose all earlier smartphones have been nothing greater than a beta test for the Nokia 900. Overall, Nokia Lumia 900 “The smartphone beta test is over” was definitely humorous and memorable.

5. HTC “Here’s to change”

The last commercial of best smartphone commercials is HTC “Here’s to change”. For its first, and most memorable, industrial with Downey Jr, HTC went all in with the actor’s persona of kooky super-confidence. It confirmed the actor attempting to give you an approach to clarify what “HTC” really meant. Besides that, we noticed some really weird situations that targeted on these concepts, resembling “hipster troll carwash” and “humongous tinfoil catamaran”. Overall, it was surreal and eye-popping and, for sure, very entertaining. Nevertheless, even Iron Man was unable to get HTC to promote extra telephones, though it tried once more with a bizarre sequence of quick movies that includes RDJ in 2015.

Budget 6.1-inch iPhone appears in photos.

Here is a look at what could be a pretty close rendition of the entry level 2018 iPhone. The renders were made based on recent specs and design rumours. The photo renders showcase a 6.1-inch iPhone, slightly larger than the iPhone X. Another difference is the single camera on the back and possibly the use of aluminium frame, instead of the stainless steel used in the previous X models. While more than 150 countries support Apple SIM, China is not one of them. That explains why two of the upcoming 2018 iPhone models will have a dual SIM card tray. According to the report, adding dual SIM-dual standby capabilities to the iPhone could pump up sales in Asian and African markets.

Apple to release two dual-SIM iPhones in 2018

According to our source, two iPhone models to launch this September will feature dual SIM standby capabilities. However, only the Chinese units will equip with a tray that accepts two SIM cards. In other countries, two of the 2018 iPhone handsets will come with a single card slot and will add the virtual Apple SIM in order to support dual SIM features. Quick backstory, the Apple SIM launched in 2014, embedded inside the Apple iPad Air 2.

That explains why two of the upcoming 2018 iPhone models will have a dual SIM card tray. According to the report, adding dual SIM-dual standby capabilities to the iPhone could pump up sales in Asian and African markets.

Statistics from a Chinese source state that 3 – 4 million smartphone owners in China use multiple SIM cards. For your information, dual SIM dual standby means that the user has to select which of the two cards will make and receive calls. Dual SIM Active allows both cards to receive calls at the same time.

The future for dual-SIM iPhones

A mobile phone retailer in China says that many of his customers have chosen an Android device over iPhone due to the lack of dual SIM support. As a result, this improvement will be a big blow to Android phone manufacturers in China since Apple has a bigger popularity there.

Apple iPad X surfaced with large 10.8-inch bezel-less display, face unlock!

Since the iPhone X design has become a new trend nowadays, we think it’s appropriate for the Apple iPads to adopt this particular design as well. What do you think about a bezel-less iPad X? Keep reading for more info!

Apple Slowing Down Older iPads

Bezel-less Apple iPad X specs and design

As the name says, it’s the iPad version of the iPhone X, pretty obviously. This is the creation of Concept Creator, together with iJustine and you can check out the device in the video HERE. The device comes with very narrow bezels and also a pink metal body. There’s also a notch at the top, which is an unusual aspect for an iPad at least. It obviously holds a Face ID mechanism, plus the front camera and sensors.

Securing this machine with your face actually makes sense, in case you forget it (and your projects on a park bench or something like that). A brand new stylus also pops up at some point, feeling a bit more high end. As far as the iPad X design goes, it’s clearly inspired by the iPad Mini I would say, rather than the regular iPads. Somehow the notch makes it feel more portrait oriented. In details, this tablet could feature a massive 10.8-inch bezel-less touchscreen.

iPad X

Regarding the memory, the new iPad X can offer different variants of 2GB RAM with 32GB/ 128GB ROM (no card slot). How about the photographer? The new Apple iPad X camera bears a single 8MP rear sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and autofocus. Meanwhile, the front-facing shooter has 1.2MP with an aperture of f/2.2. Also, the selfie camera also supports face detection, HDR, and FaceTime. For the battery box, the new iPad X packs non-removable Li-Ion 8827mAh capacity.

Apple iPad X release date and price

As much as we would love to have this tablet come to life, it’s just another iPad concept at the end of the day. So please take this with a grain of salt. On the contrary, according to our sources, the next generation of Apple iPad can hit the market in September this year. So stay tuned with us for further updates about that!

LG Display: the future screens Apple choose for iPhone X Plus

It looks like Apple and LG have joined hands together! Apparently, LG Display is now in charge of producing OLED screens for iPhone X Plus models. Keep reading for more details!

OLED

LG Display x Apple’s OLED display collaboration

Bad news for Samsung! Apple recently invested $2.7 billion in LG Display to help build OLED panels for its 2018 iPhones. According to China Morning Post, Apple is planning to get LG as its second OLED supplier and will initially deliver between 2 ~ 4 million units. In addition, LG is said to be building a production line dedicated to iPhone orders only, as part of its agreement with Apple. But 4 million doesn’t even scratch the surface of iPhones that are going to ship this year.

So LG will be having just 20% of the OLED supply chain while the rest will still go to Samsung. Related sources claim that LG Display wants to take a bigger cut, but it’s not ready to meet the full demand for OLED panels. Besides, LG Display is going to produce the iPhone X Plus’ 6.5-inch panels. In details, the iPhone X Plus has upgradable RAM to 3GB with 128GB/256GB of internal storage (no card slot).

LG Display

On top of that, it works on the latest iOS 11.1.1 as the operating system and packs a non-removable Li-Ion 2900 mAh capacity. Next, iPhone X Plus camera system features a dual 13MP camera on the back. On the other hand, the front-facing camera sports 8MP for taking selfies. We expect Apple to launch them in September 2018 for around $1100 ~ Rs. 70, 862.

The bottom line

However, there is still some internal conflict at Apple’s HQ whether or not LG Display should be a second OLED supplier; or just rely solely on Samsung as they did with the iPhone X models last year. If LG is able to meet the requirements, this will give Apple some leverage to negotiate to price and reduce its reliance with Samsung.

Apple iOS 11.4 is facing rapid battery drain issue post update!

It looks like Apple is facing some trouble with its new software update for the iOS 11.4 version. Many users have reported that there has been rapid battery drain after installing the update. Keep reading for more juicy news!

iOS 11.4

Apple iOS 11.4 with battery drain issue

To recap, Apple released the iOS 11.4 update last month. The update includes many new features and changes, but it appears to have brought along a serious problem. A large number of users who downloaded the new version iOS 11.4 are complaining about rapid battery drain issue. Besides, there are several threads discussing the problem on Apple’s official forum. That means a thousand users have confirmed the same issue with their unit.

One account shared: “My iPhone 6s has the same issue after updating to iOS 11.4. I charged it up to 100 per cent, rebooted it then let it standby for 4 hours, the battery indicator dropped to 40 per cent. It has been three days since I updated to ios 11.4 and this issue happened every day.” As a result, some people have suggested switching off the Wi-Fi. It does work in some cases, plus connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (instead of 5GHz) works for others.

iOS 11.4

However, several other users said none of these tricks worked for them. As a result, they had to roll back to the iOS 11.3.1 version, which made the battery life back to normal again. On a side note, Apple has released the upgraded iOS 12 not long ago. The new iOS is going to help make your Apple device feel faster than ever -particularly on older iPhones and iPads. With the new Apple iOS 12, the old iPhone 6 Plus can launch 40% more quickly. Moreover, the iPhone system keyboard reaches 50% increase in speed. Additionally, you can open the camera app 70% faster. You can read more about iOS 12 features HERE.

Apple’s action towards iOS 11.4 issue

For its part, Apple hasn’t yet to offer any official word on the matter, but we expect the problem will be resolved in the next iOS update.

HOT: Apple iPhone 2019 is going to arrive with USB Type-C!

Good news of the day: Apple is finally adopting USB type-C like the rest of the world! This new change is going to apply in their upcoming 2019 products. Keep reading for more details!

USB Type-C

USB Type-C change in Apple iPhone 2019

Better late than never may be a proper expression to describe Apple’s recent decision to finally join the rest of the premium smartphone industry: adopting the USB Type-C port for charging and connectivity. Reportedly, Apple is redesigning chargers and related interface for its next-generation iPhone and iPad devices. And will likely have its 2019 series of iPhones come with USB Type-C support. According to sources at analogue IC vendors, the reason why we won’t see USB-C in any of this year’s models is that the company “is still in its redesign phase”.

Like the Lightning connector, USB-C ports are reversible. They also support the Thunderbolt standard, which offers a higher rate of data transfer, though applications of the standard on a mobile device are limited. Oddly, the report doesn’t go into specifics regarding whether USB-C will be applied on both ends of the iPhone cable, or just the one that goes into the charging brick/computer. It’s entirely reasonable that Apple would switch that end from USB-A over to USB-C; while leaving the Lightning port on the other end intact. Thus, making it is possible to continue reaping the benefits of accessory licensing.

USB Type-C

On a side note, perhaps this is also the reason why Apple decided to decrease the price of their USB-C to Lightning cable not long ago. Although it’s quite rare for the company to reduce the prices of its accessories, Apple lowers down the cost of USB-C to Lightning cable from a whopping $25 to $19. You can read more about it HERE.

The possibility of USB Type-C in Apple products

At this point, it’s already pretty late in the 2018 iPhones’ development cycle. So it won’t be able to make the necessary changes in time, without possible production delays. In the end, we have a firm belief that this new change is going to happen sooner or later. Stay tuned with us for more updates!
