1. Nokia 6

As promised by HMD Global previously at MWC, the company’s first Nokia-branded smartphone, Nokia 6 is reportedly getting Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) via an over-the-air (OTA) update. The phone comes with a price tag of around $260.

2. Nokia 3310 (2017)

The Nokia 3310 is back, but does a feature phone have any relevance in the age of smartphones. There are some big similarities between the new Nokia 3310 and the old one, but the 2017 version is much more sophisticated, surely. The phone comes with a 2.4-inch color screen (240 x 320) pixels, (167 ppi) and 2MP camera with LED flash. The Nokia 3310 lacks Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity, and only features 2G data connectivity to use with its basic internet browser and app store. On the third place of the list comes a phone that has a premium-look and do not cost much, it is a Nokia 3. Announced for this month, the phone features a 5-inch HD screen (720 x 1280) pixels and density of (294 ppi). The Nokia 3 is powered by 1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 SoC and it comes with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal memory that is expandable up to 256GB. The primary camera comes with a 8MP with (f/2.0, autofocus & LED flash) and the front camera has 8MP. The phone runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) and is powered by a Li-Ion 2650 mAH battery. The price for Nokia 3 is very acceptable and will be somewhere around $160.

4. Nokia 5

Together with Nokia 3 comes to us and Nokia 5, positioned as a handset for those who want a compact smartphone, which comes at a cost of some $225. It comes with a 5.2-inch HD screen (720 x 1280) pixels and (282 ppi) and Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB inbuilt storage. It supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB). When it comes to camera, Nokia 5 has a 13MP unit on the back and 8MP unit in front. Other features of the smartphone include Micro-USB 2.0, NFC, 3000 mAH battery, and 4G LTE support.

5. Nokia 8

For the end of the list we will check it out an upcoming smartphone by Nokia, Nokia 8. The phone is rumoured to come with a QHD IPS LCD 5.7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and (515 ppi). The phone is rumoured to pack 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card, and will be powered by 1.84 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Nokia 8 is rumoured to pack a 24MP primary camera on the rear and a 12MP front shooter for selfies. The Nokia 8 runs Android 7.1 OS. The price for this model will be somewhere around $480.

Recently, HMD Global has sent out first invitations for its upcoming Nokia event. The date of the invite is June 13, which is very soon. However, the exact time or location of the event is still unknown, and the Finnish company promised to reveal more as formal invitations come shortly. This occasion is likely the launch of the known Nokia products so far – Nokia 3, 5, 6 and the new Nokia 3310 – which were all revealed at MWC earlier this year.

Many experts also predict the launch of the said phones. However, for this upcoming Nokia event, HMD may also unveil one of its big guns – the Nokia 9. The phone has appeared recently alongside Nokia 7 and Nokia 8. If that is true, then this event is crucial, as it shows Nokia’s plan for the future regarding its flagships, at least in India. As a reminder, Nokia 9 specs seen before include the new SND 835 chipset, 6GB RAM, and dual rear camera.

Recently, on the EU Union certification website, we spotted two Nokia 9 phones, with two different codenames. They are the TA-1004 and TA-1012 model respectively. Many experts deducted that these two devices must be two versions of Nokia 9 smartphone. Specifically, they are the single SIM and dual SIM versions of the phone. Previously, Nokia has registered four new phone designs as trademarks, and we believe they were for Nokia 7, 8, and 9.

Nokia P1 specs are amazing! Under the hood, there is the latest SND 835 chipset, with octa-core (4 x 1.9 GHz Kryo and 4 x 2.45 GHz Kryo) CPU and Adreno 540 GPU. Plus, there is 6GB of RAM as well. Now that is some seriously high processing power this Nokia P1 dual-SIM has! The internal storage of the phone is 64GB, and you can expand it by up to 256GB via microSD card. There is a non-removable Li-ion 3500mAh battery inside as well.

Outside, Nokia P1 dual-SIM sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch display with a resolution of 2K (2560 x 1440 pixels). Nokia P1 camera is also something else, with a 22.7MP lens at the back with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. At the front is a 12MP camera for taking selfies. It has the latest types of connection as well, such as 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C ports, etc. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is available in one color Black only. Despite, overall, it seems like a great phone from Nokia!

Besides, Nokia also promised that more phones would come this year. Recently, reports and videos of the supposedly next flagships of Nokia 7, 8, and 9 surfaced online. Now, another beastly device, the Nokia Swan smartphone, is going to have amazing specs!

Nokia Swan specs are amazing. The phone houses the latest SND 835 chipset. Although for now, we have no information about the clock speed, the type of CPU and GPU, we do know that there is 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM accompanying the chipset. That is some serious processing power Nokia Swan has, and you likely don’t have to worry about performance.

What is unique about Nokia Swan lies outside. It is a foldable smartphone with a dual screen! Each display is 5.3″ in size, but when fully opened, it can transform into an 11.0″ tablet. That is quite the flexibility, and you can use the phone in a lot of situations. The Nokia Swan camera is also one-of-a-kind, with a massive 42MP lens at the rear. After coming to the smartphone market in MWC, Nokia has raised a lot of anticipation, especially since the brand promised more to come this year. However, there is some bad news: Nokia Express Music, a long awaited phone, has been pushed back to Q3!

There is no doubt that Nokia has had quite a successful comeback, with the introduction of new phones in March at MWC. However, the brand has not revealed any phone that can be considered a flagship yet. Nokia 9 is speculated to be the flagship that Nokia will introduce to the market in June. However, amidst that, one potential flagship has been pushed back to Q3 or even further. The unfortunate phone is the Nokia Express Music.

From what we have information on, Nokia Express Music seems to be made out of metal, and it will have an almost bezel-less 5.2″ Quad HD display. One notable and unique feature is that it has a QWERTY keyboard underneath the screen, which you can slide up to use! At the top left corner of the screen will be the Express Music logo, next to an 8MP camera. The phone’s back is also uniquely designed, with 3D diamond shape patterns. At the back is also an 18MP primary camera.

For other Nokia Express Music specs, it could have a SND 835 chipset under the hood. Alongside that will be 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. It is expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Also, there would be one special accessory going along when you purchase the phone, which is a limited edition red and black headphone. It is also decorated with diamond shapes, which matches perfectly with the phone. Sadly, all of this has been pushed back to at least Q3 this year.

Nokia has promised more to come for this year, and reports have mentioned Nokia 9 as the flagship. Now, another flagship may also be coming, with the name Nokia Swan.

There have been quite a few reports recently about a new flagship coming from Nokia, with the name Nokia Swan. According to those reports, this new Nokia phone will be a hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet! Nokia Swan specs seems amazing as well, with an octa-core CPU, with the chipset likely to be the latest SND 835. Alongside that will be 4GB of RAM, so performance should not be an issue with this device. The new device also offers 128GB of internal storage, which is quite plenty!

As mentioned before, Nokia Swan will be a smartphone-tablet hybrid. Once opened, it will transform into a tablet, with dual touch screen! The smartphone display is about 5.3″, and the display size in tablet mode will be about 11″. This device seems like the perfect solution for both work and entertainment. From the looks of it, it can also be used as a mini laptop as well! Its camera will also be quite special, with 42MP Carl Zeiss lens. It will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Overall, it seems like a wonderful phone!

There have been a lot of words about the Nokia 9, the supposedly flagship from the Finnish company. However, Nokia 8 is also gathering attention, with the recent Nokia 8 intro video having been leaked!

After all the hype about Nokia 9 (there were leaked render and concepts based on that), now is the time for news about Nokia 8. This time it is a whole Nokia 8 intro video being leaked! It is about a new Nokia 8 render. The author of this one is Concept Creator, and the design stays true to what we have known so far about the phone. With Nokia 9, it felt like a rectangular Galaxy S8, but this Nokia 8 will be a bit different from that.

First is the camera area. We can see that the flash and fingerprint scanner is grouped together in a module, and are covered with glass. The phone shape is still rectangular, made of mostly glass metal. However, this design does not follow recent trends, as there is still a physical home button at the front. At the back, there is a dual lens camera. The screen is what we expected, very immersive and almost bezel-less. The phone looks quite thin, and the back seems to be covered with plastic, not metal. The designer did not mention any specs. However, with what we know so far, Nokia 8 specs would be like those of the upper mid-range phones. Many people confuse this with Nokia 9, which has SND 835 processor. In reality, it may only have the latest SND 6xx chipset, or maybe SND 820/821. It is expected to have 4 to 6GB RAM, plua a huge battery and, of course, Carl Zeiss camera. Regardless of that, the specs are still quite impressive.

Next Nokia phones will hit the mid-range market

Finnish company named HMD Global has the rights to produce and sell mobile devices under Nokia’s brand for the next 10 years. Especially, in India they want to hit the shelves with the next Nokia phones! But, why they want to target India? HMD Mobile India vice president Ajey Mehta said in an interview: “Our studies have shown that the Nokia brand has 95% brand awareness and recall in India. We are confident of making a big comeback.”

The Finnish start-up HMD Global plans to expand the number of distributors up to 400 across the country and establish 300 service centers. Furthermore, the company targets the Indian market with next Nokia phones which are backed up by Android OS such as the recently released Nokia Trio and the revived Nokia 3310. These mobile phones are expected to be launched in India by June end! Get ready for this, friends!

Another plan from HMD Global is to hit the mid-range market and to compete with market leaders like Huawei, OnePlus, OPPO and Xiaomi. And they could be successful with their next Nokia phones! It is proven that Nokia is still popular all over the world through the launch of Nokia 6 in China: incredible 250000 units were pre-ordered in less than 24 hours! Nokia partners with Chinese companies for innovation

Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Finland. There, an innovation partnership was signed with Sauli Niinisto, the Finnish President. This agreement has greatly opened up vast opportunities for a lot of partnership, especially in the eyes of Nokia head Risto Siilasmaa. As part of the agreement, a Sino-Finnish innovation council will be created. The purpose of this is to guide and promote business cooperation on innovation, exploring opportunities and giving advice regarding policies.

Mr. Siilasmaa, as Chairman of the Finnish IT giant Nokia, has been chosen to lead the Finnish group in the council. In this council, each country will nominate players (companies) to be representatives. Mr. Siilasmaa said that he hoped to get some of his old friends from Chinese technology companies to be Nokia partners. The list of members from the China side has not been revealed yet, but Siilasmaa has specified some people he would like to work with. Some of them are Jack Ma, Pony Ma, Lei Jun, and Robin Li, who are, respectively, the heads of Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi and Baidu.

In the past, Siilasmaa has been on the same panel discussion with those figures, and would very much love to work with them again. The council will strive to work towards achieving common goals between the two nations. Not many details have been shared, but it is hinted as some common problems humanity faces. He also shared that this partnership would be very beneficial, since each country has their own strengths and weaknesses regarding innovation. It can be inferred that in the future, more Nokia partners would be from China.

HTC U beast to have IP57 certification?

The HTC U beast is a phone that the company is expecting to strengthen its position in the smartphone industry. HTC offers great smartphones with excellent features, but the problem is that people have been complaining so much that its devices are so costly. Let us tell you a little bit about e of its smartphones that recently launched ( HTC U-Play and HTC U Ultra). These phones were launched since January 2017, the U Ultra seems to be more premium as it comes with a 4GB RAM, 3000mAH battery and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat).

Why we said this, it’s because of its cost, the HTC U Ultra price starts from Rs. 59,990 in India, and it can be more than this for the bigger storage variant. We hope the HTC U beast comes cheap because other competitors like Nokia and Xiaomi are manufacturing crazy phones with a very affordable price. For the HTC U specs, there will be waterproof (IP57) rating, this means that the phone will resist both dust and water.

With this technology, you can let your phone take a good bath for 30 minutes, haha, so nice. The company has also decided to remove the 3.5mm headset jack from this device too, following a similar move for the U Ultra. It will have a screen size of 5.5-inch and powered by an SDN 835. The HTC U cameras will sport a 12MP primary and 16MP secondary shooter. The phone will run on Android 7.1, we don’t know yet the battery capacity it will offer.

Nokia to bring 5G technology to India: a faster solution!

As we all know, the fastest internet option now is the “fourth generation” or 4G technology. The strongest 4G LTE allows you to download everything at the speed of 50mbps. While 4G is not used around the world on a wide scale, Nokia is aiming to bring the next 5G to India. Nokia will join hands with top Indian telcos to improve the current internet connection here. Let’s see if India is going to be the first country with 5G technology!

In fact, internet users in India haven’t had good experience of fast connection. It was noted that over one billion Indian people were stuck with 2G during 2016. This number is equal to 90% of mobile users. A brighter change is coming after network carriers in India were criticized for the poor internet technology.
