Samsung is having a good year so far. The Galaxy Note 7 incident, while devastating, did not hit the brand as severely as predicted. The company even made a healthy return this year with the release of the flagship duo, Galaxy S8, and S8+. However, Samsung is not only known for smartphones only, but it also provides display panels. One of Samsung’s biggest customers is incidentally Apple, its biggest rival. Samsung is already making up to 80 million OLED panels for the iPhone 8, which launches later this year.

A recent report from Korea Herald suggested that Samsung agrees to produce up to 180 million OLED displays for iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus, slated for release in 2018. The iPhone 9 screen size is about 5.28 inches, while the bigger iPhone 9 Plus has the display size of 6.46 inches, similar to that of a phablet. It is an interesting turn of event, as Apple for a while has been trying to be less dependent on Samsung for manufacturing.

One possible reason is the rival firms to Samsung could not keep up with Apple’s demand. There are other manufacturers reported to work with Apple as well, such as LG, and BOE Display from China. Whatever the case, it is notable that the size of the displays Samsung produces for the iPhone in 2018 is significantly larger than that of the previous iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Perhaps for iPhone’s 10th anniversary, Apple is going to make some design change? We have to wait and see!

However, up until now, that is pretty much all we know about the new Samsung Galaxy C10. The Korean giant has managed to keep this phone a secret well. Today, we have the first glance of what the phone would look like when it launches. These are the rendered images of the phone, but with those, we can get a good picture of how the phone is going to be outside. You can watch the clip below to see!

What we see matches quite well with previous reports of the phone. It would have a dimension of 152.5 x 74.8 x 7.68mm, and the screen size would probably be 5.5″. There is also likely a fingerprint scanner under the display. The phone has a dedicated Bixby button as well, similar to Galaxy S8 and S8+. As for the dual camera, nothing is known for now. It could very well be a wide+zoom lenses combo, an RGB+monochrome one, a normal+super wide one, or something entirely new by Samsung. We just have to wait and see.

However, reports have suggested that Samsung Galaxy Note 7R, or refurbished Note 7, is going to launch soon!

This information is not new. In fact, this news has come around for a while already. This move seems excellent for those who love the ill-fated Note 7 because truthfully, it was a beautiful device. The launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 7R is a strong bet from the Korean giant, to expand its market, and it is going to happen soon! Overall, the device should have the same specs as the old Note 7, apart from having a smaller battery to prevent the explosion.

This phone has a unique “R” letter embedded at the back of the phone, which means there are some replacements of materials already. Galaxy S8 features not widely known!

Secondly, being able to zoom in the camera app is quite pleasant as well. Normally, you have to use both hands, one to hold the camera, and one to pinch to zoom. Another nice one among unannounced Galaxy S8 features is the fingerprint swipe gestures for notifications. Actually, this was first implemented in the Google Pixel, where you swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to open notification panel, swipe down one more to expand it, and swipe up to close. This feature has been implemented in the new Galaxy S8 as well, excluding the second swiping down gesture. However, that is not much of a burden to most users.

Next is the default launcher. This can be considered one of the best Galaxy S8 features, as the new default launcher looks not only beautiful, but also good in functionality as well. There are also some unique aspect of the launcher not found on any other like new weather widget, which fits perfectly with the Always-on Display. Last but not least is the new home button. Inside, the Galaxy S9 is powered by the would-be newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. That will be accompanied by 6 to 8GB of RAM. With that set-up, the phone would definitely be a beast in terms of performance. In terms of camera, with more flagships adapting the dual camera set-up, this Samsung Galaxy S9 concept seems to finally follow that trend, having a dual camera at the back, with two 12MP sensors. At the front would be an 8MP camera. Overall, it has made some changes to the designs of S8, and elevate it further. This Galaxy S9 is truly beautiful and powerful.

Samsung has just introduced their flagships, Galaxy S8 and S8+, recently. Now it is time to look forward to the next big device, Note 8. Recently, there is one Note 8 render surfacing, and it is beautiful!

Recently, all the talks around have been about the newly released flagship duo, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ from Samsung. These devices deserve every bit of praise coming their way. Despite that, many people are already looking forward to the next big device from the Korean giant. The next big smartphone from Samsung is none other than Galaxy Note 8. For now, there are only concepts floating around. Among them, one Note 8 render truly stands out.

This time, designer Ivo Maric has done a truly outstanding job with this Note 8 render. Right from the start, we can see similarity with the S8/S8+ duo already, with the curved screen at the corners and edges. The screen this time reaches up to 6.4″. This design still keeps the Infinity Display concept on the new S8/S8+. However, for a Note, this design still looks kind of narrow, and there is a stylus slot on the side. The virtual buttons are also kept from S8, as is the Bixby dedicated physical button. The back of the device looks to be coated in glass.

Also at the back of this Note 8 render is a dual camera set-up. This would be the first time Samsung has implemented this feature on one of its phone, if it does not plan to do so with a new Galaxy C device already. The camera does not protrude, and more importantly, the fingerprint scanner is now conveniently placed below the camera. The speakers arrangement is also interesting, as there is a speaker at the bottom, and one below the screen. Overall, this design seems a bit more mature, and it takes us back to the time of wider devices like Note 2 and 3.

Samsung Z4 leak: front flash, S-Bike mode

Samsung has released smartphones with its own developed OS Tizen before, called the Z series. The newest member going to join the roster will be the new Samsung Z4. This phone has already received certification from the FCC in the US, as well as a Wifi certification. Now, some Samsung Z4 leak has happened: recently, a user manual, seemingly belonging to the Z4, has leaked online. This is a manual for the phone with model number SM-Z400. The manual did give us a look at Samsung Z4’s specs, as well as its design, and some features.

This Samsung Z4 leak was shared by Roland Quandt, a popular leakster. The manual mentioned two models of the Z4, SM-Z400Y and SM-Z400F/DS (the dual-SIM version). At first glance, the Samsung Z4’s design resembles much of the Z2, which was released last year by Samsung. However, there is one notable aspect: a front flash next to the selfie camera. This would be the first instance of a selfie flash for the Z series. Other than that, there were almost no noticeable changes.

As for Samsung Z4 specs and features, it is revealed that the phone will come with S-Bike mode out of the box. However, its availability will depend on the region it is used in, and also the service provider.
