Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro renders also show off the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, vertically-aligned dual rear cameras, the Mi branding around back, and the display notch around front.

Unfortunately, it looks like Xiaomi sticks to Micro-USB for the Redmi 6 Pro instead of USB Type-C. It also looks like the phone sports two speaker grilles at the bottom. Unfortunately, these renders were part of a video/animation, but the designer lost them somehow. Anyway, the handset feels and looks like some sort of a more premium flagship, even though the Redmi series usually belongs to the midrange models. According to the pics, we can see a glass back, a huge fingerprint scanner as well as an iPhone X style dual back camera. The handset comes with many vivid colour options. Perhaps too vivid that makes the back of the phone feel less like glass and more like metal or plastic.

Previously, Xiaomi has delayed the A1’s upgrade during the rollout due to many complaints about unresponsiveness camera and applications. Moreover, there was also some bug problems with the fingerprint sensor, frozen dialer, recent app and ambient light sensor, which is way back in January. Now, it’s the appropriate time for the Xiaomi to get the Android Oreo update. But, Xiaomi still hasn’t announced a specific timeline for the OTA release.

In any case, our sources indicate that Xiaomi is running a Beta testing version of the Android Oreo update along with June 2018’s security patch.
